58 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 11/20 larsga (159) Oslo, Norway | October 30, 2012 Nice alternative place out in the decidedly alternative neighbourhood of Svartlamon. Great service and an interesting vibe. Beer selection is mostly high-quality but standard imports and some Nøgne Ø. They had a reasonable range of Inderøy beers, and said they wanted more local beers. Didn’t try the food. | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 abstractbeer (4) , Norway | January 9, 2012 One of my favorite places in Trondheim. Great ambiance if you like the second-hand DIY philosophy. Mostly populated with friendly people, many of them artists, anarchists and/or punks, or other subcultures. Very friendly and helpful staff, great food and low prices (prices are more like "medium", but low compared to more mainstream/hip places). Their selection of beers isn’t very large, but surprisingly nice, with local microbrews as well as Belgian ales, and various other beers. The music is in my experience often centered around music from the 60s and 70s, and thus generally excellent. It can be a bit noisy on late fridays and saturdays, but not many places in Norway are quiet at these hours. | 32 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 4/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 6/20 ABS (9) Kristiansand, Norway | September 6, 2011 The local anarchist youth’s own pub. It can go both ways from there, sometimes it’s a cool pub, other times a bit over the top. Good, but not great, burger. | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 lillepersille (12) , Norway | January 30, 2011 Frydenlund Bayer on tap is great, as well as dahls. Artist-anarchist environment, worth a visit just to see the grafitti and farm-kindergarten in the neighborhod. Good beer, good food, aweseom hot chocolate. Not the place for high brow beer teasting though. | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 banii (24) Trondheim, Norway | January 24, 2011 Frydenlund Bayer on draft, and a few local beers on bottles. Decent prices, great food and a very special ambiance. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 anchr (11) Trondheim, Norway | May 28, 2010 Nice local pub/restaurant located in an area known for squatting and anarchists - and I believe it is run as a coop. Excellent food (some of it organic) which is made from local ingredients. The selection of beers too, has partially a focus on local beer, which also includes the regional macro brewery located 500 down the road, as well as some local micros. The guests are mostly locals. The furniture is mostly old stuff, giving the restaurant a certain rough style. |
