Large pub and restaurant, type "Ratskeller". Beautiful location, old building with lots of space inside and out. Good food, decent beers. Normal prices for the area.

Well located and nice, classcic interior with the brewing equipment very prominently present. I think they only serve their house beers. We had dinner here which was ok: menu lists typical Swiss food: saucages of very kind. Not very cheap, but rather common prices for Switzerland.

Awesome location right on river. sat overlooking river and mountains while enjoying some local brew, it doesn’t get much better than this. only a few beers on tap but at the prices that’ll be all you can afford. anyways had a great time

Great location right on the river before it opens into the lake, near the beautiful covered bridges of Lucern with the snow capped alps in the distance. They only had 2 beers, a hefeweizen and an unflitered helles/pilsner type lager. Both were very good, but outrageously expensive. A .5L of the hefe was almost 10 Chf. Was a cool place, but don’t go expecting a deal.

Beautifully located along the river that looks over the old bridges and town. Its pleasant to sit outside if its a good day. A few house beers are served however the beers are average. Common, simple food can be ordered outside but there is a more formal restaurant inside. This place is stupidly expensive for beer and the food so dont come looking for value. Decent service but apart from the location I cant say I really like this place at all.

Beautiful location, bordering the lake. Very central, nicely situated. If you go there sit outside when its warm and admire the scenery. The beers are decent, especially the ones they have all-year-round. I don’t care much for the seasonals. The service is not all that good. The pretzels are very tasty. Worth a visit in my opinion.

June 2008. I was just stopping by for a weissbier and I think the outdoor service was very nice. The beer was very nice as well.

good for sitting out of the restaurant, in summer, in the shadow. you see the river and a part of the old town there inthere you can see the brewing tanks and it is in an old cellar from the rathaus(seat of the city-governement) good food,but rather expensive,with some swiss food, but also german food ( for example bawarian saussages, or meals with knödels) the lucerne-inhabitants go there if they want to eat bawarian. THEYR BEERS ARE NOT BAD BUT NOT OWERWHELMING

Wonderful located in the cellars of an old stone building (even if I don’t get excitied for the German/Swiss interior style, not enough warm). Typical Germanic food, not bad anyway, and some rather good beer (in the Swiss landscape I mean).

Had an unexpected day off (St. Someone) a while back so escaped the office with a buddy and went for a drive. Stopped for a couple hours in Luzern and the clean crisp beers really hit the spot on a warm day. Pils / German styles brewed on premises. Nothing huge or unusual but quite good on our visit. A great spot in a pedestrian shopping area near the lake looking out on a waterway and historic bridge and buildings.
