| cheapdark (128), Quiptown & Central Valley, Pennsylvania | | January 19, 2011 Not sure if this red lion has anything to do with the red lions in england and sweeden; I happily imagine it does from the ambiance. A littte run down inside but I think this is just like it is int he old country - NICE! Good, but not large beer selection, found a couple I never heard of and tried them GREAT! Nice overall expereince, took my dad and we had the fish & chips, REALLY NICE!....and fairly cheap. Girl was very friendly and impressionable. Noon on a tuesday, almost empty but a few coming in for fish pick ups, and I know why! Good atmosphere and fun! My dad said this place rocks and he’s been to pubs & gardens throughout various places in Europe. | | Nail (10), Georgia | | May 15, 2009 This is a typical English Pub. The food was acceptable and the service was good. Considering the beach location, the value is great. The selection is above average. All in all a fun place to visit, definitely worth the time when you’re in the area. | | dalepryor (17), Lexington, Kentucky | | May 27, 2008 This is a British Style pub on Indian Rocks Beach, one of my favorite places when i’m in the area. The beer selection is rotational, i’ve seen chimay, sierra nevada seasonals and other not so common beers on tap, also a nice selection of bottles from samuel smiths to dogfish head. Besides beer they have great pub grub, weekday specials including $4 pizzas on wednesdays and $0.35 wings. Best wings in town in my opinion and also the best margaritas i’ve had anywhere. If in indian rocks beach or any surrounding beaches definitely worth a stop. |
