A small wooden cabin-like building up the hill from the boat docks in the town of Thorne Bay. They have a couple of upright fridge coolers which a surprisingly good selection of regionals. The Alaskan lineup is there, minus the Smoked Porter, and the Deschutes lineup is present, as well as Arrogant Bastard, Delirium Nocturnum and another Belgian that I can’t remember. Prices are fair for the area, but Thorne Bay is tucked about 45 miles north of Ketchikan, accessible really only by boat or float plane. However, for the "resorts" and fishing cabins that are located around the bay, this is a pretty darn good place to get beer. I no longer have to worry about bringing in beer on the plane from the PNW. The owners were very nice and talkative, and mentioned that they only stock 22oz/750mL and six packs due to space limitations (no 12oz singles). It was good to see that over half of the beer in the fridges were good craft beer, and the swill was located on the bottom shelf. They also sell cigars, videos, wine and liquor here.
