I have stopped in this place a couple of times. Not only do they have a great selection of the Rogue brews. They also have a few guest brews on all the time. The last time I was in on the night before we went out deep sea fishing. WOW that was not a good idea. Talk about sea sick. Next time I think i will stop in after the fishing trip.

Cool place, but service was lousy. Lots of cool pictures from the fire.

Nice clean place in a good location. It is a family friendly location with lots of good Rogue beers to choose from. I have always enjoyed myself here. I have always had good service from the staff. It isn’t a place I would want to hang out in all day like some cool pubs, but it is a place to go for good beer in a small costal town.

LONG LIVE THE ROGUE NATION! This place is right in the little shopping district on the other side of the bay from the brewery. Great view of the big bridge parallel to the Ocean. Little store to buy beer in the bottle as you walk in. Amazing hospitality. Absolutly genuine people. The Public House in Newport has been one of my favorite places to stay while on vacation in Oregon. When in Newport you must stop here. Good pizza. Great Kobe burger w/ Bleu and a Santa’s Private... Great taste of America!!! Plan to stay all day with the awesome locals. Charlie, Chris, Jim were all great. Thanks again, and see you all soon!!!! Once again John C. Maier is an Artisan Brewmaster of the World. Thank you John!! Prost

Alot of fun, to go and try some good beer and hang out with the locals. Not much rare beer on tap, just the usual Rogue fare, but fun and worth experiencing nonetheless.

Casual pub...though the pub has a smoking section. That’s retarded. All the Rogue brews, with some Issaquah and Eugene stuff as well. I like the place, but there’s not much rare beer there. The chili had stout in it and it dominated the flavour. First time I’ve struggled through a chili that wasn’t from a can. Nice location along a touristy waterfront strip. Not bad, but not a mecca.

Newport is the Rogue Nation’s capital city. It’s a pilgrimage for NW ale lovers, in my opinion. This is Rogue’s home station, so to say that the beer is great would be redundant. Tons of great Rogue ales on tap in both Newport locations. I don’t understand the other reviewer’s comment about it being cramped. I can imagine it being crowded, but the place is quite spacious. I am talking about the Public House, not Brewers on the Bay (across the bay in the actual brewery). Either way, both places are great. The staff is way friendly and made us feel very welcome. There is a vibe around the “Rogue thing” that I absolutely love and nowhere is it stronger than Newport. We stayed three nights upstairs in the Bed and Beer. The apartment wasn’t fancy, but it had everything we needed, was clean enough, and it is right up the stairs from the Public House. Can’t beat that. One last thing, light beer drinkers be warned. When someone orders a Coors Light (the only non-Rogue tap), the bartender rings a bell and the whole place shouts out, “Clear Beer!”

Late lunch on road trip to CA. A little small and cramped. I think the had every beer that Rogue makes which made it difficult to choose. Started with an old fav then was given a sample of Charlie 1981 without asking. The food was great very filling. Very reasonably priced, under $20 for 2 beer and a $14 dollar meal. Would like to try the bed and beer sometime. Well worth the stop for the selection and food.
