About 3 miles from where I live. Very good german-style beers. 2 regulars (Hell and Weizen) + 1 special (Hemp) and 2 seasonals (Brune and Lago Mio). They have so much success with their hemp that they don’t want to change it ...

Brewpub with a hostel called Lago Lodge. Near the Bielersee (Lake Biel), not far from the back exit of Biel station. Usually four beers available, decent to good quality. Good food at decent prices, very good service.

Brilliant idea to combine a youth hostel and a brewery, the perfect marriage. Five beers when I stopped by, all very tasty. Food was good. Service was friendly, and the server knew her beers. Gave me samples of every one. Local crowd, plus hostel dwellers. Worth going out of your way for.

A combined brew pub and hostel close to the lake. Pretty cool to walk through a brewery when you are on your way to breakfast. Friendly service but kinda basic. Food was basic too but still expensive. Good salad, though. Looked like a lot of locals was there to enjoy the beer.

In a lovely youth hostel near the lake shore this brewpub actually brews nice beers and serve good solid food. Lovely terrace. Frequented mainly by locals.

I’m surprised that Philippe never entered this place, lazy boy -) It’s quite crazy finding a brewpub in a kind of hostel in a small Swiss village just on the lake shore, but it’s even more surprising that they have good beers! I used to visit it more in the 2002-2004 period, but I always enjoyed a couple of their beers in a late Saturday afternoon, with the warm sun on their terrace. Staff has always been very kind. You can get big bottles to go.
