Sir William’s Pub

Lovely English style pub right in the heart of town. Had a real ale on a beer engine, which alas wasn't as fresh as it could have been. 15 taps, varied styles represented, and a huge selection of bottles. 150ml pours make for an easy ticking session, I think we grabbed 3 sets of 3. Staff was fantastic, very knowledgeable about beer, and very friendly. A good selection of music, and at a very sociable volume. I would definitely have this as a regular haunt if I lived in town.

An attempt at a British style pub, more or less successfully executed, with a craft beer rather than a cask ale orientation. More than a dozen on tap and more in bottles, plus some macros. Service always reliably good. A solid mainstay of the Ljubljana beer scene

English style pub in the center. 13 taps were operational. They don't serve flights, but 0.15l portions are available and you can take them as many as you like. Most of the bees were in good condition. Staff helpful and knowledgeable about beer. Had a nice chat with him. They also serve cask beer here. So had a chance to try Croation real ale. It was bit warm and not in the best condition, but still an experience. Must visit place.

Fully committed to a classic pub look with all light wood and green leather seats and barstools. The beer selection luckily isn’t committed to the UK concept. Strange mix but I encountered it elsewhere in Ljublana. 12 taps and most of them Slovenian, a few were German classics so go figure. Bottle selection also had common Belgian classics so a bit of everything but a fully committed interior? Interestingly they also had some cask beer, I tried a Slovenian beer on cask & it was bad so slightly doubt that they can do proper cask. Fair prices & fair service. I firmly disagree with the other reviewer here that they had the best selection in town but that is for other people to judge for themselves. Tourists strongly present upon visit including me obviously.

Good playlist with 14 taps of various styles. Cozy atmosphere. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. What more to wish.

Nice traditionally styled English pub, but on tap are 14 very good local and foreign craft beers. Also a very good bottle list too.

Sir William's Pub is a stylish (even we sat out on street patio) English-style pub close to old city centre. Despite of its traditional look and name it was all craft beer on tap. They even had a beer list taped on the wall outside for patio drinkers. Good selection, nice service, also Slovenian beers on tap, visited twice! Very different than Lajbah, but these two are probably the best choices in Ljubljana.

Don't be put off by the name. This isn't one of those ubiquitous English pubs which are common in Europe where lager louts on stag nights gather to drink cheap beer. It is a cosy, neighbourhood place with an extensive range of tap (23 from memory) and bottled beer. The service is friendly and the beer menus are available in English. Highly recommended. (They also have a book exchange with quite a few English titles, so it's a good place to get rid of that novel you don't want to cart about anymore).
