| JoeinEscazú (200), San Jose, Costa Rica | | May 10, 2012 A large chalkboard with the day’s selections hangs behind the bar. A pleasant place to sit and talk beer with whoever happens to be next to you or filling the glasses. Might like the try the food next time. I like the fact that there always seem to be special casks or other events going on. Lots of good breweries and beers in town these days, so it pays to keep things interesting. | | Terminus (233), Las Cruces, New Mexico | | June 26, 2011 A cool little taproom with pretzels and pizza available from local delivery. Beer here is decent-not great but not bad (but from the newer reviews i hear its getting better). worth a visit if you have some time in STL. | | esjaygee (204), Oak Creek, Wisconsin | | April 14, 2011 A nice brewpub in downtown St Louis. They only had their offerings on tap, but had eight on my first visit and most beers were pretty tasty. The service was good and the prices on the sampler were reasonable. Since they were showing all of the NCAA tournament games, I returned here to watch my Badgers oust the Wildcats and enjoy a few DIPA’s. I only had appetizers, but they were pretty good. | | thegreenrooster (54), St.louis, Missouri | | April 12, 2011 A small establishment down by SLU. They have about 8 beers on tap and most i really did not care for. The samples I had were quite watery and on the thin side. Their DIAP is the best offering and its really the only one i can recommend. Dining area is again very small and the tables are close quarters. You better not be closterphobic if it gets crowded. I did not have any food. I probably won’t come down here again but they distrubute their beer to other places around STL and I’ll try some again if I see some on tap around town. | | JAG55 (10), O’Fallon, Missouri | | April 2, 2011 [ Updated August 21, 2011 ] very nice microbrewery. good selection of brews and really nice brew-house hangout. Small and cozy with excellent service and some good beers. A true microbrewery.
| | jandd1983 (87), Florissant, Missouri | | February 21, 2011 It was very cool to visit the old Falstaff building to see what has transpired. They have transformed the building nicely, just not a real fan of their brews. We tried a sampler and I did not find one we really liked. We would visit again and hopefully find a brew more to our liking. | schultz1972 (2), does not count - explanation | | February 3, 2011 I checked this place out when I was in St. Louis recently visiting relatives. They had talked about it quite a bit so I wanted to check it out.
The service was exceptional as the bartenders and servers were super friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. I did a sampling and really liked all of their styles. The Whale was interesting and surprisingly good when I heard about how they kind of threw a bunch of ingredients together to test the equipment when they first opened. I LOOOVED the DIPA. I can’t wait for them to bottle this stuff so it could survive a trip back up to Chicago.
I had the piled-high pastrami sandwich and it was excellent. I’ve actually been craving another one. I also tried a taste of the chicken pesto pizza and that was really good as well.
I’ll definitely be back. | | lushawn (164), Boston, Massachusetts | | November 21, 2010 really impressed with this little estabmishment. great beers. all clean, well attenuated, and tasty. well made. personable and excited staff. happy to see a bit of a crowd present on a thursday evening. excited to see what comes of this joint. Peter, thanks for buying me a sampler! | | phaleslu (241), Saint Louis, Missouri | | July 29, 2010 I stopped in here for the release of the new Double IPA today, and once again, I’ve found a brewpub by SLU that I would have loved to have when I went there. Very warm, inviting atmosphere, low-key environment, and super friendly staff and patrons. This used to be the Falstaff Brewery offices, and some original touches remain. Nice restoration. Great location on Forest Park Parkway just west of Grand and a block from the heart of SLU’s campus. I’ll be going here before basketball games. The brewery keeps 4 regulars on tap at all times along with 3 seasonal rotators and 1 guest, which was Pranqster at the time. The only food is from outside so far, and the selections include locally-made pizzas they’ll heat up for you, pretzels, chips, and another selection or two. The place is growing, just got distribution in the STL area and across the river, and hopes to grow some more. I’ll keep supporting them and hope it happens. | | Braudog (611), Hampton, Virginia | | April 5, 2010 April 2010. Set in a really cool building, Six Row has promise. But right off the bat, the lack of any real food is a let down. Then bring on the lineup of 5 beers and realize that all but 1 are far below average, and you have the makings of a disappointment. I’ll be back some day to see if they’re getting better. I’d like this place to succeed. |
