| abcfan (10), New Jersey | | March 25, 2012 Went on a Sunday afternoon, so I was expecting great service(it was). Had a nice selection of brews on tap and bottles and cans for take out. The salad I ordered (Greek Chicken), was out of this world in taste and value. I will definitely come back again if I’m in the area, I may even make it a special trip like I did today. | | boxofrane (16), pottstown, Pennsylvania | | December 3, 2011 Sly Fox is great. The only issue is that it’s not big enough for the demand at times. Beer is solid, food is great, service is good. | | MrChopin (89), Baltimore, Maryland | | November 7, 2011 Several visits. Nice variety on tap visit to visit, plenty of seasonals. Interesting atmosphere, something like a dining hall mixed with a shopping center bar, white everywhere, and though spacious, it never feels such because of the forced structure of the sectioned rooms. Never used the patio option. Menu is cheap, | | j12601 (214), Poughkeepsie, New York | | October 1, 2011 One of the stops on the RBSG 2011 bus trip. Very nice atmosphere, open spaces with a varied amount of seating. While there was ample seating in the bar area, we opted to sit outside, where there was a large amount of open seating as well. Service was quick and friendly, even with 50 of us arriving at the same time. Beers were solid as well. Worth a stop. | | DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | May 27, 2011 Another place that makes outstanding hefe. They also have one of those growler fillers like they have at the Victory Brewpub. The place is located in a strip mall so it’s not much for ambience. The bartenders seem to have been trained well as to beer styles but they couldn’t understand why someone would want a 10 oz. beer when a happy hour pint is cheaper. (So I could drive home.) The burger was solid but not mind-blowingly so. They had 10-12 different things on tap and they allowed you to select any 5 to make your own flight which I like. I was a lot more impressed with the beer I had their then the stuff I’ve had in my locals. Maybe it tastes better from draft. Like I said the decor is nothing to right home about but the beer is really quite good. | | robgibbens (15), Gaithersburg, Maryland | | April 15, 2011 The new Sly Fox in Phoenixville feels like a strip mall restaurant. You just get that feeling when you walk in the door. The service was quite good, but the food was just OK. I enjoyed the beer and bought some to go. It was an OK experience. | | Steeeve (34), Ambler, Pennsylvania | | December 23, 2010 Atmosphere is sort of homey, like Cracker Barrell opened a bar. The light colored bar top and stools are not something you often see in bars. Service was great. Our bartender was very friendly and attentive. He helped us pick some beers for our flight and was very patient when we couldnt decide. Selection is pretty nice. Something like 15-20 taps and a few on cask. Lots of styles were represented so there’s definitely something for everyone. Food was pretty good, we just had sweet potato fries but I’ve heard from others that it’s above average. Prices were good. Our bartender forgot to charge us for 2 drinks and so he gave them to us on the house, even though we insisted we pay for them. My favorite part was the 10 oz size option. Got to try a few different beers without getting drunk. Nice place, right near my sister’s house so I’ll probably return. | | delirium11 (27), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | June 10, 2010 Overall, an okay experience. The food was okay but nothing to write home about. The beer was, great, I love their beer but our server didn’t know much about it. Whenever I asked a question about a particular beer, he would turn toward the same chalk board I was reading and never gave any new information. | | oOJUXEOo (14), Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania | | October 28, 2009 Nice place. You can sit at the bar, eat a meal at a table, watch a game, and can still take the kids if you want. They are moving soon across the street to their new location. I enjoyed my first visit there, and will definitely be back to check out the new place. | | afireinside96 (33), Mountville, Pennsylvania | | July 2, 2009 A nice place with a casual atmosphere. The dining area was separated from the bar by a set of stairs and the hostess stand. It really helped to keep bar noise on that side of the building. They had their 4 year round offerings on draft and several others including a Berliner Weisse, California Common, and a Helles lager. They also have a hand pump that usually serves their pale ale project beers. Food was good with a nice variety to pick from. Prices were acceptable for the area and the service was above average. My only complaint is that it was a bit small and on a busy day could be somewhat cramped. |
