| hombrepalo (100), Chicago, Illinois | | May 9, 2011 Rated this on the Division Small bar, just transferred over-
Nice place hidden in a quiet residental street. The food here is just o.k. and so is the selection. Nothing special here that you cant find somewhere else. Maybe 50 or 60 bottles and 10 on tap, mainly american microbrews. Service was good, I got a free beer cause the first two selections I chose were out, so that was cool, but other than that this blace was just o.k. | | NobleSquirrel (161), Chicago, Illinois | | April 1, 2011 [ Updated May 24, 2011 ] Finally made it to this hole in the wall original and was pretty pleased with it. Pretty no frills, but had a solid selection of beers and the food was alright. The staff was pretty solid as well. Definitely in the middle of nowhere, though. | | jrallen34 (207), Chicago, Illinois | | March 31, 2011 I treked over here for the Stone event the final stop of the night. Location basically sucks. Its on the end of residential street, not anywhere close to a major street and leaving takes at least 15 minutes to find a cab or you need to call one. Now if i lived on that street I would be there all the time and my mind would change. A total local place, don’t make this is destination. Inside is a total small local bar feel, small and nothing to see...The quality and selection of beers is nice, above average for Chicago but again haven’t really seen anything special here that would make me come.
A decent local joint but nothing more than that. | | JJSuds (26), Illinois | | March 2, 2011 Like the pub trivia here. | | satan165 (101), River Grove, Illinois | | June 20, 2010 perhaps the ultimate beer bar, combines the comfortable ambiance of a corner bar in a residential neighboorhood with a tap list devoid of any factory junk. nice service, comfortable surroundings, zero pretentiousness. did not sample the food but i shall soon upon one of many returns | | megrut (15), Chicago, Illinois | | November 27, 2009 Definitely one of my favorite corner bars in Chicago. Always a great, changing, seasonal tap list. Staff is very knowledgeable about what’s on tap. Food is very fresh. Had a salad in the summer which had green beans from one of the server’s garden. Quaint patio seating in warmer weather. All-around the perfect neighborhood joint. |
