jpt21 (3), Greenwich, Connecticut does not count - explanation | | April 24, 2012 Not very enjoyable if you’re there for their beers. | cleverlobo (3), Connecticut does not count - explanation | | March 10, 2012 I went there to try the beer. Took the 6 beer sampler, all but 2 were undrinkable. Nice staff and good service. | | Braudog (611), Hampton, Virginia | | August 21, 2011 Saturday night in August. After a pleasant walk thru a nice little stretch of seductive restaurants, all teeming with folks, we arrived at SBC ... empty. Bad sign. Trust the crowds. After one beer, we switched to wine ... ’Nuff said. Food was average at best. At least the server was nice, but I hate places that compare their own house beers to macros. "The Vienna is like a Dos Equis." Ugh. Brewery #535. | | roder60 (38), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | | July 27, 2011 Went to this place for lunch with my wife and 1 year old on a 100 degree day in July. Parking was a pain in the butt, but eventually found a public lot for $1/hour one block to the right of where the brewpub is located. Inside is nice, but just seems like a typical business casual restaraunt. Food was average but a bit pricey. You can get the sampler of 6 beers for $6 which is nice. Beers are all watery and uninspiring - seems like they are concerned with profit and not quality. Overall, worth a stop since there’s nothing else around but not noteworthy. | | joebudzjoe (33), Connecticut | | July 7, 2009 SBC’s beer isn’t anything special, but it’s better than what you’ll find at most downtown Stamford bars. The menu is vast and the food is average. Their service is usually very prompt and the waiters and bartenders are always friendly. | | Thaichile (15), 10aFly, New Jersey | | March 6, 2006 Stopped in while antiquing in the Stamford area for a brew. Very cold, industrial, warehouse atmosphere. Service was friendly, the food was fine, but the beer was not the best. Thin and watery and what they liken their brews to on the menu should be an indication of what was to come. I think next time I’m in Stamford, I’ll have wine. | | Cletus (211), Connecticut | | December 18, 2005 This location has a decent selection of beers. Their traffic flow insures that their beers get rotated regularly. While not as good as the Southport location, this one does have a decent selection of their own brews. |
