62 Busy place in Borough. Ok selection of taps, a few cask ales, many keg, lagers, craft, cider. There should be something you want, though not super amazing. Ok overall. |
62 You can't miss this, right on the high-street prominantly on the corner just opposite one side of the market, and with some wonderfully dated, but still wonderful, external tiling. Inside's superficially a bit overcrowded, and aimed at people who want a stand-up swiftie, but if you dive round the back, you'll find some cozy little rooms for more of a sit-down sesh. Selection's not bad, I usually find a couple of real ale ticks, but it's not whoring to the ticker market. Food looked good, but beyond my eastern-european budget. Definitely worth popping you head round the door, in particular if you can avoid one of several daily rush hours. |
62 Good place to pop in og you fond yourself at Borough Market, as you'll probably find a couple of beers (ceg or cask) unique to the area. Friendly service with samples offered. My deep fried cod goujons was quite nice. OK music, but really too loud. |
56 Visited the 22nd June 2016 - Standard British pub near to London Bridge. Good beer selection quiet standard. Place is nice but a little bit noisy. Good atmosphere, service is OK and price also.
Very average beer place. Nothing special here. |
70 Popped in on Wednesday afternoon whilst walking to London Bridge. Two floored pub with large horseshoe shaped bar. Nice looking place and gets busy with the after work crowd.
Amidst the standard range beer are a couple of interesting cask beers plus a few decent keg offerings. It’s always worth have a peek at the bar as might pick up a decent beer or two. |
70 Traditional nice english pub located close to The Borough market.
Fine ambiance, but to crowded on fridays.
Nice selection of handpull. You will surely find something the other pubs in the same area do not serve. |
62 Cozy pub with about 15 taps, including 4-5 casks. Selection is mostly macroes, but also a few locals. Good condition on the beers i had. Samplers offered before ordering, and the barman seems to know his beer. Good food aswell. |
58 The pub occupies a corner building of the busy opposite the entrance to London Bridge Tube Station as well as the famous covered Borough marketplace. Inside it is a very traditional affair for a pub of this type, but comfortable enough, although at peak hours there can be too many people in here. If you can grab one of the alcoves downstairs then this is the place to sit but these fill up fast. Cask ales served. |
56 Big, OK pub on a busy corner. Nothing much wrong with it, normally one or two interesting ales on, but are many better pubs in the locality. |
64 Can only echo the other reviews; a perfectly pleasant place; big, loud, traditional feel right on the edge of Borough Market. This place gets packed by Thursday evening. A small but decent array of cask ales from around the UK. However, in comparison to the neighboring Market Porter, Rake and Wheatsheaf it comes fourth on that list. |
