Good bottle shop with beers from the twelve Dutch provinces, at least one beer from an province. Helpful owner who working at the printshop at the other side of this beer shop. Great selection of Dutch beers, some Belgians (the usual suspects) too. Come back here often. Brewery de Molen is nearby and should combine a visit if you’re in Bodegraven.

Lovely little shop. Talked to the owner/shop keeper for a while about de Molen. Bought a solid selection of Emelisse and t’ij beers. Pricing was rather solid (28 euros for 7 beers).

I was delighted to find that Bodegraven now has not one but two excellent bottle shops. Speciaal Bier Winkel is on the same street as De Molen, close to the village centre. Everything is neatly laid out and there’s a very good selection of mainly Dutch and Belgian bottles at reasonable prices. The service was also very friendly and helpful.

Lots of Dutch beers. A few Belgium classics. Friendly owner. If you are looking for new Dutch beers this is the place to go in the area. Around 2 Euro’s per 33cl bottle.

Me and Loz popped in here on Friday 27th September 2013. The owner was friendly and helpful with a great late 60’s early 70’s rocker look about him, this was further enhanced with some pysch rock playing in the background. The shop is very close to De Molen, turn left head towards town centre and a few hundred yards maybe less its on your right. The choice seemed to be entirely Dutch as far as I could see with some decent stuff. The owner said he had 400 Dutch beers at the moment but wanted to expand this to 1000 which sounds great, however I cannot see where the extra 600 bottles will go unless he expands into the adjoining unit. Prices were very good for some beers but one or two incl: one I purchased seemed a little expensive. Overall a great addition to the beer scene in Bodegraven.

Very close to De Molen, Pink Floyd (incl. Syd Barrett solo) music playing & the helpful, old hippie (I mean that positively) owner standing ready to help. Selection is prob. at least 250 bottles. Saw a couple more regular Belgians but almost all of it was Dutch craft beer. Selection was interesting, more than enough stuff that was completely new to me, most of it from very small breweries. So that is cool, prices were very high for me. That is probably in part thanks to the fact that prices in the NL are much higher than what I am used to in BE. At BE prices I would have picked up a lot more. This stop forms a nice addition to De Molen, it offers the type of stuff that the Molen store doesn’t sell. If you are at De Molen, you need to pop in here.

So so place, not a huge selection and not much that rare. May help if visitors to De Molen stop off here to pick up some less exotic offerings. Wouldn’t see many people going out of their way though.
Re-rated September 28th 2013. Greatly increased range of smaller Dutch micros, well worth combining with a visit to De Molen.
