Great selection, very knowledgable, very friendly. Great place for beer on tap, wide selection with 7 taps. This place isnt that big but still manage to carry everything.

I made a trip out here from Manhattan for some Ithaca Le Bleu, which the owner was kind enough to hold for me. When I got there I was pleasantly surprised. Pretty solid selection with some serious gems and pretty good prices. The owner (sorry forget his name) is a great guy that will help you out and show you around the selection. His service is only rivaled by Mike of Brawleys in Carolina

Small place. They have a growler station with 7 taps, a lot of them expensive. While they don’t have a lot of shelf space, they do dedicate a substantial amount of it to craft beer. The prices are average, not great. The place is relatively clean and organized for its size. It’s a hole in the wall, and not easy to find. The staff seems to be reasonably helpful. It’s ok to stop here if your’e nearby, but don’t go out of your way for this.

After reading these reviews (esp. compared with Port Jeff Beverage) I was expected a little more from this store. It was hard to find, selection was good, but not especially noteworthy. I also thought their prices where fairly high. They do have taps for filling growlers, but I didn’t find their selections particularly interesting. As a plus, they have lots of stuff in the fridge (if you’re on your way to a party or something and need something cold).

Went there after another beer store owner told me that they were nice guys and had Smuttonator on tap. He was right on both. Nice selection of top notch stuff, but they don’t seem to carry the full line of anything. Emphasis seems to be on high quality, as opposed to quantity. I saw a stack of Thomas Hardy cases. The guy there was real friendly. Seems to be still in the learning curve about craft beer, but knows enough to be very helpful, which is more than I can say for a lot of places. Good, not great store to check out.

I found this to be an interesting little store with a decent selection of high points, but not the depth of selection. I was pleased to see a fair amount of new beers such as the Sierra Torpedo, Victory V series, and Black Ops right near a multi head tap selection. It was another interesting moment to hear from the counter person of an upcoming beer-paired dinner the store was working on with a local cafe. I look forward to returning to this little place to see what they are working on.

Nice small store that was loaded with good singles and sixes. The guy behind the counter was friendly and offered a free sample. Decent taps for growlers and an above-average selection for the area with nice stocks on sought-after seasonals: Nugget Nectar, Captain Lawrence, Goose Island BCS, Black Ops. While it is a bit cramped, they have clearly spent time amassing a good selection and staying up on recent releases. This will be my main store in this area now. Worth a stop if in the area.

I finally got around to checking this place out - it’s a bit hard to find, since the building doesn’t face the street, and the sign is rather small, so keep that in mind if you’re headed here - this is one of the smallest beer stores I’ve ever been to, but they have a decent selection none-the-less - most of the locally available micros are represented - their import shelf is small, but well-selected, leaning heavily on belgians - this place gets points for being the only store on the island besides shoreline that has any Cantillon - given their limited space, they don’t have as vast a selection as the other area stores, and seem (understandably) to focus on quality, standard products rather than obscure, beer nerd-centric brews, but you’ll find decent beer - their prices vary, but for the most part seem reasonable - if you lilve nearby, or are at the university for any reason, then stop on in, but don’t make a drive for it.

Wow, I’m surprised that this place has not been added on ratebeer (it may also be afiliated with Big Z as the sign by the road says Big Z, beer). This is a small place, but only deceivingly small because they still carry a lot of beer and a lot of top-notch, quality beer. Lots of good lsemi-locals (Hebrew, Ommegang, Captain Lawrence, Six Point, Blue Point) and a good import section, especially Belgians (Aventinus, De Ranke, Rochefort, Bernardus, Cantillon, Achel, De Glazen Toren). When you walk into this little place, you will be surprised by what they carry. Sure, not as good as the Huntington giants, but better than other local beer stores (Port Jeff, Stony Brook, Bellport). The taps are decent but nothing extraordinary. Definitely check it out it you are nearby.
