Really enjoyed the food. Taps were quite good too. Nice ambiance - kind of isnít sure if it is a pub or a restaurant. Very friendly staff.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in Niagara Falls.

This review is for "Syndicate", the new version of Niagaraís Best Brewpub. A small and new looking bar with a few seats greets you as you enter, with a fridge on your left for purchasing fresh to go growlers. 10 taps feature guest beers from Taps and then the Niagara core brands, with a couple seasonals. The dining room is medium sized, has warm colours and feel to it,with a focus on high end casual, and overlooks the brewhouse. An upstairs room for parties, functions or spillover is also available. Our server named Nick was great. He knew his beer and provided great service overall, along with friendly banter as they werenít too busy when we went. The beers are average to very good. I had the Taps Abbey Double and Niagaraís Daredevil. I didnít eat but my partner in crime did and it looked great. Prices were great, lower than expected. Iíll be back.

RE-REVIEW, February 2011: came back with MrManning after Niagaraís Best was converted into its current incarnation, the Syndicate Restaurant & Brewery. Decor has improved substantially, the beer is much better (good style variation) and they now have guest draughts from Taps Brewpub. Server was amicable to Len and myself and I enjoyed the tomato soup for lunch. Growlers to go, tours of the brewery, you could even bring your partner hear for a nice meal. Worth a crawl these days.

Brand new building, very nice, and spacious. The manager of the brewpub was there and was very friendly and knowledgable. The food was excellent, and the beers are nothing crazy, but very well made, and quite nice. In all they have 8 rotating taps of their own offerings.

Stopped in for a peek and to see what they had for sale in bottles, seeing as I was in a rush. The staff working the front was extremely helpful. Basically they bottle 3 of their brews for sale in 6-packs, but will fill a growler of anything on tap for $10. Awesome deal! Chatty employee, very welcoming, and happy to feed me free samples of all the taps while I waited for my growler to pour. No time to try the food. Iíd make an effort to get back for sure, as they list their upcoming seasonals which all sounded great.

A strange birch-wood look to the place. There is a patio. The brewery is behind a glass window off to the side. Canít really see into the brewery unless youíre at the bar area, and this place seems more like a restaurant.
Service was good and attentative. Cute waitresses, although only one of the three that iíve had really knew anything about their beers.
Selection was ok if you forgive them for not having any guest taps.
Food was not impressive. I think it came already prepared in a box.
Overall, a nice little place. Better if they improve the food and add some guest taps.

While the beers may not all be impressive, the atmosphere is excellent. A melding of open space, clean lines, beautiful wood, and a quaint charm. Ended up doing the 10 for $10 sampler to try everything on tap (which is possibly the best deal on a sampler Iíve encountered) before moving on to a great dinner with a few pints. Service was great and everyone was quite friendly.

Visited on a quiet Friday lunch in August about 5 or 6 weeks after they opened, our group of four was warmly welcomed into a spacious, clean old converted house with a view in the back of the tanks in the brewery section, and a long bar around the corner, off to the side. (We stayed in the front room as it was lit with daylight.) Seven or eight of their brews were available which we tried in a flight and enjoyed, the stout being the best. Service was a little slow and mildly incompetent but otherwise friendly. I had a delicious BLT sandwich but someone else tried the fried fish and the bigger piece was grossly undercooked. Worth repeating a visit if only to try more of their beers and when the kinks of a new place are eventually worked out. Nice experience otherwise.
