Shyam (7), Mesa, Arizona does not count | | April 26, 2008 clean, pretty, organized bottle selection. nice people. but lets be honest, its worse than tops (and everything better than tops obviously) in terms of selection...and how much does the rest really matter for a bottle shop? | | jujubeast6000 (14), Houston, Texas | | January 7, 2008 Great selection, lots of locals. All beer split by country. Good help, Brett (Rhett?) was helpful and came over to chat. Clean aisles with beer packed in. Saw a guy dusting the bottes. Recommend a visit. | | hellbilly (44), scottsdale über alles, Arizona | | May 21, 2007 [ Updated July 2, 2008 ] less selection than tops or sun devil but what they do have you needn’t worry about being skunked. store is nice and clean and well organized. the staff is very helpful and will order you anything that you can’t find. i hit this place at least once a week. | Gash (4), Quincy, Massachusetts does not count | | November 29, 2006 This is definitely a hidden gold mine in the Phoenix area. It’s literally 1 minute from campus, right down E. University before McClintock. They have everything you could imagine and a bunch of European greats. I was pumped to pick up YuleSmith (Winter), which they had plenty of. Organized and properly arranged, meaning what belongs in the coolers is in there and what belongs on the shelf is on there.
The few times I’ve been there, the same guy has been working, and he’s very knowledgable and very helpful. I will definitely be going back in the future. I have yet to spend some good time in Tops, so I can’t make a comparison yet, but they are 3 or 4 minutes apart, so you can’t go wrong with either. | beeraz (1), does not count | | August 1, 2006 Small, yet very well kept. They have over 1000 different types of beers--from macros, to micros, to internationals; if it’s available in AZ they have it! Great liquor and wine selection at competitively low prices. They also have a temperature controlled cigar room. Lowest keg prices. They have knowledgeable and helpful workers. Check them out; you will be hooked! |
