Very nice place with good beers on draft

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Quite a small place but in a good central location. Good variety of beers. Value is ok. Would like to visit again in the evening to see how the vibe is.

Hit this place twice during our last trip to Antwerp (Dec 2010), snow, cold and the Christmas Market forced us to take refuge in this fairly new bar. All the tables are supplied by ’Malheur’ by the advertising design of the tops, all blue and orange (with Malheur written on them). As already stated, long and thin bar. At the rear it opens out a little and the large glass fronted fridges display the bottle selection nicely. Smokey and friendly, a local Bagpipe player dressed as a Highlander had also come in from the weather on our second visit and would occasionally burst into a half reconisable tune, all very strange, yet Christmassy and somehow apt at the time. St Bernadus Christmas was on tap and was in wonderful condition, the wife choose the on tap Kwak plus others as I stayed with the first choice on both visits. A good, proper beer bar, not pretentious in any way, yet another reason to visit Antwerp for beer and its bars.

Great pub. Old rustic place with good beer selection. If the weather is nice you can sit out on a nice square.

Before our visit to the antwerp beer pubs, we visited this website. We were here last weekend. But after visiting the pubs at "de Keyserlei" (Duke of Antwerp, Bier Central and Kelly’s) we were not realy impressed

Really nice cafe with great beers, Houblon and the Struise Brouwers.

Besides Kulminator, this is the place to go in Antwerp - with a good selection of draft beer, an excellent bottle menu and with a great variety of lambics. The bar is fairly small but cozy and with a knowledgeable and friendly staff, providing a much quicker service than what is common in Belgium.

Pretty close to centre as is pretty much everything in Antwerp, not a real beer geek bar but one with an interesting selection never the less, more of better local bar, about 300 or so beer, rotating Struise on tap as well as lambic which is nice, nice selection of Struise, nothing really rare but some nice things never the less, some sours, handful of slightly rarer beers plus Armand’Spirit which I haven’t come across anywhere else, half a dozen descent whiskey, no food save for some snacks, not bad interiour

Located close to train station and a good stop in or out of Antwerp. Listed as having 10 taps, and I don’t recall, but that sounds right...maybe even 12 and a nice selection that had some variance in styles. Bottles were located in a stand-up glass door cooler at the end of the bar so that you could view what they had. Decent Lambic selection and prices were reasonable. Service was quite good and the bartender was knowledgeable.
