| Dfonorow (37), Hoboken, New Jersey | | October 10, 2011 Gigantic liquor store with an impressive selection of craft beer. Two 50-ft long isles with singles on both sides. The import section was fairly normal for a larger beer store but the domestic section was amazing. I was able to pick up a ton of local singles and harder to find California beers that I can’t get further south. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful and the prices were normal for the beer that I bought. | | Reynolds314 (13), Connecticut | | August 30, 2011 My best local bottle shop. Place is owned by Big Y grocery stores and it resembles a grocery store. Huge, well lit, and clean. Staff is friendly and willing to help. The beer manager Tom is knowledgeable and always happy to help if you need to know something specific. Prices are a bit high for Mass. and they allow you to break up 6-packs but dont do it. The upcharge on a single is pretty bad. Good selection and good service. | | zdk (79), New York, New York | | July 15, 2011 Great selection of New England locals. Was driving through from Vermont, and was happy to pick up stuff we don’t usually see in New York (including Russian River and Lost Abbey beers!) Imports section was a little boring, but domestic crafts were spot on (though super-rare). Wish I knew something about wine, because the wine and liquor selection completely dwarfed the beers. Prices seemed on the high side, but not unreasonable. Staff was friendly. Any case, will definitely be stopping back if I’m in the area (basketball hall of fame is nearby). Be wary though - my GPS sent me to the wrong address, about 10 minute drive away. | | fata2683 (125), Tucson, Arizona | | June 17, 2011 my father in law told be to check this place out and I’m glad I did. This store single handedly covers the Northeast US and has a good bit of Canadian beer as well. Prices were fair to high but the selection is staggering. Really nice place. | sepia5 (8), Washington DC does not count - explanation | | March 18, 2011 You won’t find much by way of service, but that’s OK. Just wander up and down two looooong rows of craft and imported beer and be sure to check out the coolers and special displays near the back. When I lived in New Haven, CT, I would make the 50 minute drive north every other month to stock up on what could not be found in CT. If it’s distributed in Mass, you’ll likely find it here. Prices are perhaps a bit higher than some other places in the area, but no higher (and probably lower) than in the Boston metro. Selection trumps all, and that means this is a great place. | | Ernesto987 (54), Connecticut | | February 23, 2011 Very good selection of american craft and Belgian brews. Prices are a little inflated, but you will always find updated stock and new items | | basewars (10), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin | | December 27, 2010 Best liquor store I have ever been to. Great selection of beers from around the country that aren’t easily attainable. Very nice looking place with nice staff that seems to know what they are talking about.
I can’t wait to get back there. I also can’t believe I have never been there before. | | AirForceHops (47), Epping, New Hampshire | | August 30, 2010 They have a great selection of bottled beers, a knowagable staff, and a nice clean and tidy gorment store. I make the drive to the Springfield area every month. I will be stopping here everytime to pick up a few hard to find beers. WOW! i WISH i HAD KNOWN ABOUT THIS PLACE SOONER! | | jkwood04 (29), Connecticut | | June 11, 2010 A pretty big store with a great beer selection. Dieu de Ciel, Alesmith, Founders, Lost Abbey, a big Belgian selection, etc. A really helpful, knowledgeable staff too. | | lalu (37), Laval, Quebec | | February 1, 2010 Great place with lots of selection.
Any store with this much choice is top notch in my books.
Clean, lots of room and lots of special beers. |
