TM is usually busy. The staff works hard. Just seems that they are stretched to offer personal service. Somehow they do. It just takes an evening to get what you want. Food is mostly meat and fries. There are some salads and rice and beans. It’s loud and bustling.

A few unique drafts, with many quality micro brews on tap. Great place to watch a game, but there were too many people trying to order bud light or figuring out the most amount of beer they could order for the cheapest price. If you want to watch a game, go to the taco mac metropolis location; much better selection and nicer ambiance.

Kind of a cross between a sports bar and a mellow mushroom. A little run down but fine for hanging out with the guys. The food is reasonably priced and fair, pretty much your American sports bar fare. Oddly enough they sell very few taco’s. OK the beer, I was really stoked to see La Folie could either be purchased by pint or by the pitcher, crazy. I was already pretty bombed when I walked in there so I can’t really speak on the variety of beer but they had a HUGE tap list and I know there were some good ones on there it’s just my eyes didn’t make it much past pitcher of La Folie.

Ah, Decato Mac. All Taco Mac locations essentially boil down to: booths, bar, ONE THOUSAND televisions. Plus, this particular locale has a small-sized outdoor patio deal, if that’s your thing, but being a BIG FAN of air conditioning, you’ll usually find me hunkered down at the bar. It’s an older Taco Mac location, made all the more noticeable if you regularly visit one of the fresh, new joints. The food is pretty tasty, plentiful, and reasonably priced for bar grub. Typically, I go for their Turkey and Swiss Panini or the new Shaved Roast Beef’wich. The service, as is true for any bar, ranges from adequate to proficient. This is another reason for sitting at the bar, as it expedites the bar-getting process, plus the bar staff is usually a bit more knowledgeable, beerwise, as they spend their shifts stationed right next to the taps and coolers. I find their draft prices to be wholly acceptable and cannot remember a single time I balked at the bill, though their prices on large-sized, imported bottled beer can be a bit high. Now, I’d wager their bread and butter is the sale of macros, the Budmilloors stuff, and in catering to that particular crowd they serve their beers in extremely frozen glasses, so be sure to ask the staff for a non-chilled glass. The parking situation for this particular location is a bit tricky, a bit tight, and can be pretty hard to come by, but I would say the exact same thing for essentially any joint in the downtown Decatur area. Overall, it doesn’t display the grace, finesse, and the rich experience that a trip to the Brick Store Pub or Twain’s can provide, which isn’t such a big deal when you’re an hour away in Canton or Buford, but I find it very, very difficult not to pass this place up entirely for those locations when in the area. In fact, over the many years I’ve been going to downtown Decatur, I’ve visited the Taco Mac no more than five times (if that).

This Taco Mac has the second most taps of the intown stores (midtown is #1) and they have the most beers in Decatur. Unfortunately the food is the same as the rest of the chain: if they even had great wings I wouldn’t care but they don’t. The best food choice isn’t even on the menu: Philly cheese steak substituted with their fajita steak. Decent array of TV’s for sports but not great. If there’s not a Falcon or UGA game you can always find parking here.

I noticed everyone has alluded to the Brick Store in some fashion due to its location in relation to this Taco Mac.The Brick Store is ALWAYS too crowded. Taco Mac always has seating available, which is why I like it. For some reason, Taco Mac has severly truncated their draught menu? I have no clue as to why, but it seems they are getting less and less of the "rare" beers that they surprisingly once had. I have never had bad service at this Taco Mac. Plus, I can always find something on the drink menu that is good. As said before, the "I haven’t tried that before" isn’t being said as it once was, but I can still count on them having something I like. Great place, never too loud, service is excellent, and yes, if you want to watch a game, even if you don’t give a shit about sports, just to kill time, then stop in. Food is always pretty delicious. Finally, this place is a bit pricey, but in comparison to Brick Store, it is a thrift beer bar.

This is basically a sports bar, with lots of big screen TV’s, decent pub food, and a large beer menu. About 100 beers on draft, 300 bottles. Some respectable, if not outstanding selections offered. Lots of local breweries available. Didn’t see any tacos on the menu. Salads are very good. The Brick Store is in walking distance up the street, so I don’t really know why you would come here unless you want to see a ball game on the tube.

I stopped in here after my first trip to Brick Store, which is right down the street. It was the usual Taco Mac experience, with a large, rather open dining area, lots of TVs, lots of beers on the menu (not a whole lot eye-catching, but a lot of decent stuff.. everything is overpriced), and solid food. This place is worth hitting up if Brick Store is 1) closed 2) too crowded and you can’t get a table (but want to eat) or 3) you need to watch a game.
