It’s a nice place, but the beer selection is not good and the price are high.

I was there quite early in the day and it was very quiet. The place looks great and has a nice old pub feel. They have a beer list of about 20. About 10 beers by draft. I had a Chouffe blond by draft, and my friend had a Kriek by draft. There is a nice big tv screen so it should be a nice fun place to see sports.

Good brasserie in Paris but is not interesting for the beer.

Consider that the small selection includes also: Carlsberg, Kronenbourg and the like... This place should not be listed as an interesting beer spot.

Nice place, good sevice, good beer selection, good food. To test the barman I asked him for his recommendation for a ’brown beer’, he bought me a Rochefort 10, not bad as he said he didn’t like beer himself!

Decent beer list in the pricey area of Paris. But as mentioned, they have lots of stuff in the menu which really does not exist.

23/08/07 WARNING! The bar seems to have changed hands. I was there just a couple of days ago and to my dismay when I asked for the usual beer-list (of nearly 300 bottles), I was told that I was looking at it. The new menu proposes 30 poorly selected choices with a few expected examples such as Chimay and Duvel. The prices are even more outrageous than before (closer to the 8-9 euro range) and when I asked for a Rochefort, they had no more left. What used to be my favorite place to drink in Paris has become a commonplace bar with poor service to boot. I am extremely disappointed and won’t be returning any time in the foreseeable future. Infuriating! 07/16/05: In my opinion, the best beer bar in Paris. Huge selection especially of French and Belgians. I have been there many times and the service was always very quick. The prices are decent for a Parisian beer bar, mostly in the 6 euro range.

Very typical Parisian brasserie, with excellent French "pub grub" and an unusually long French beer list. For lunch, I had the "Andouillette de Troyes" (yes, those were intestines Joris later confirmed) and we proceeded to trying that expansive beer list. We try to order Oc’Ale Blanche. After a few minutes, "Sorry, we don’t have anymore of that one". All right then, how about Loirette? After a few minutes, "Sorry we don’t have anymore...You know, these small breweries cannot supply us with their beers all-year long". I totally understand that. But can’t you update your menu once in a while? Anyway, we then ordered Mutine Ambrée and Blonde de Bourgogne. We got Mutine Ambrée and Duchesse de Bourgogne. Arggh!! All in all, a nice lunch at convenient prices for Paris, with a nice beer list which could be updated much more often to avoid these disagreeable moments.

Boasting 280 beers, 28 on tap. Prices are Parisian, meaning you’ll pay about 4.50 euros for 25cl for most drafts, 5-6 euros for a 33 cl bottle, and 12+euros for 75cl bottles of mediocre beers. Half-litre draughts are about 7.80 euros. OK selection, with good amount of French and Belgian beers, and a few stragglers from other countries.

To get here use the metro and get off at the metro stop Saint Germain. If you have the address, you should easily be able to find it once you exit the station. I came here twice, once in mid-June and then once again in early July. This was my second favorite Paris beer bar, losing out slightly to Le Sois Bock. The selection was very nice. Roughly about 25 beers on draft and about 250 beers in the bottle. The Belgian selection was very nice but was intrigued me the most was the French beer selection, about 50, 45 of which I had never heard of. There was also a solid selection of English and Germans, even Unibroues were present. I however, decided to concentrate mainly on the obscure French brews. The menu is very hard to decipher, so perhaps you should research the best French beers before you enter this place. I wish I had because English wasn’t spoken at all and I wasn’t able to ask any questions. The inside was cramped but relaxed and breweriana was everywhere. The tables are very nice and the service was proficient. Nice place. I’ll be back.
