| phaleslu (241), Saint Louis, Missouri | | December 8, 2011 Beer bar in the huge casino in Lemay. Big, cool space with some flourishes. Nice people serving. About 30 taps, mostly dull. Good bottles, though, especially the rotators. Drank the area’s last supply of 2011 Bourbon County Stout. And more remained. The slot crowd is weak. 60ish bottles. Nothing earth shattering but again, check seasonals. Better than pissing your cash away at the games. | | thegreenrooster (54), St.louis, Missouri | | September 21, 2011 Located in the River City casino. Probably the best beer bar located in a casino and that includes Vegas. Lots of taps and many more in bottles. The rotation of the taps seems to happen quickly. The cool thing about this is that you can get the draught beer in 3 different sizes 16oz,22oz and 48oz. Although 48 oz may be a bit much. Food is a notch above pub grub. They have different kinds of burgers but also more main dishes like pot roast. Nice overall vibe to the place and a nice place to saddle in while people you are with blow their money gambling. If there was no such thing as ITAP this place would be the tits. | | Toes14 (11), Ballwin, Missouri | | July 19, 2011 Not a bad place. The beer selection is impressive for a casino based room. 32 taps + tons of bottled beer. The food is decent, but I’d go to this place for the beer.
Service was fine. Prices aren’t great - you’d think they’d lower them to try & draw people in for the casino.
I’ll stop in for a pint before/after gambling, but there are a lot of other places in south St. Louis to go to besides this one. | | Terminus (233), Las Cruces, New Mexico | | June 26, 2011 Its crazy-i left ST Louis in september of 2009 and since then, a bunch of new places have opened up. This is one of them. I go to STL fairly often for work and visits with friends. A good friend turned me onto this place. Its decent-a good tap selection and 100plus bottles. service is amazing! the guys are fast and know quite a bit about the beer. Good place for happy hour if you live in South county or one of the other southern suburbs of STL. | | khan (11), Illinois | | April 7, 2011 This is a great bar located in River City Casino. The beer selection is really amazing, and the bartenders know alot about their products which is always nice to see. They are a bit pricy when compared to the rest of casino but its well worth it. The selection, and the fact that if you drink one of every beer they give you a mug that they will put in the display case that you can use every time you come in, its a really fantastic place. | | Strykzone (71), Wood River, Illinois | | March 14, 2010 Located in the south entrance to the casino. A GREAT selection with 32 taps and something like 100 bottles on their menu (see their website for a menu.) I stopped in on their second weekend of operation and everything was very crowded. Beers were priced decently and the staff was surprisingly knowledgeable and had sampled most of their offerings. Food at the casino is varied but less so at 1904. Again, check the menu online. It tended toward bar fare including burgers. Beers I had were Oud Beersel Gueze, Arcadia Nut Brown Ale, and De Proef Saison. I also had a sample of their 1904 beer which is AB’s American Red with a different hop profile. |
