The Cellar is what Blacksburg is all about - rustic, simple, and full of nice folks with great beer. They recently added a bottle shop that you can find unique brews. Love the CALZONE

Restaurant / bar with a good beer selection, both taps and bottles. Next door is a good beer shop with singles, sixes, etc. as well. I have visited once for lunch and had excellent service and very good food. I would definitely visit again and sample more of the beers. Recommend to visit when in the area.

The Cellar is a staple in Blacksburg and a must for a beer and a meal. Great sandwiches and the beer selection really works for the town. If you’re in town visit Va Tech or for a football game, the Cellar is a great place to hang out and enjoy the afternoon/evening.

Fantastic Restaurant...probably the BEST in Blacksburg. Great atmosphere, very cozy! Food is fantastic, you can’t beat the drink deals (Hammer Time 6-7 ANY pticher of beer 7 bucks!) Also, if you want to take a chance you can get a "Luck of the Draw" Beer for only $1!!!! Sometimes the beer sucks sometimes it is great (I have gotten Rogue before).

This is my favorite bar in Blacksburg because it’s just that: a bar. Not a sports bar, not a nightclub, just a good bar with good beer. Great selection of beers; I’ve discovered many great beers because of this place. Great food that really soaks up the alcohol so you can keep drinking. Also has a good selection of vegetarian foods for all of my hippy friends. If you’re ever in Blacksburg you should definitely stop in.

LAAAAAAAAAAME. I don’t know why I had any expectations for this place but it was recommended by the retard at vintage cellars and previous fools who rated this. Other than it being dirt cheap, it’s pretty bad. The tap highlights included SNPA, shooting river or some Va beer that was terrible, and DFH 60 minute, and i guess magic hat 9. THe pizza i got would have been good if it wasn’t cold. pretty sad bar decor. The vintage cellars kid recommended some place called "the underground" something other. i’d try to find that.

Overall not bad, the food is good, when they have live music it is much nicer here. Beer selection is good for BB, which isn’t saying much.

Good place, the service is slow, so don’t go in expecting to grab a quick bite. The food is excellent, I recommend the French Dip, and well worth the wait. The beer selection is very good with the aforementioned Hammertime deal ($5.50 for any pitcher). A lot more in bottles as well. If you can only eat in one restaurant in Blacksburg, make it this one.

Absolutely no service whatsoever. I really like the place, but don’t go expecting to get out in less than 2 hours and have to go to the bar to get your check for food. Best beer selection in BBurg, awesome food, killer Hammer Time deals ($5/any pitcher)!

Upstairs has great service, but no ambiance. Downstairs has terrific ambiance, but is sometimes overwhelmingly smoke filled with less stellar service. Beer menu recently changed--some for good, some for bad. Still one of my favorite restaurants in town with fantastic calzones and pasta, but not the place I go to kick back and enjoy a brew.
