Gets a rather high score because of the amazing line-up of 18 hand-pulled cask ales, a few of them overlapping each other, though. A huge place, the flagship among the many JDWs in Glasgow, located next to the Queen railway station right in central Glasgow. OK service. Very crowded and noisy early on a Thursday afternoon. Great selection of cask ales. Nice big room. Usually very busy. I would have given the Counting House a higher overall rating, but what lets it down are the annoying tiny flies that inhabit the place. Very busy Wetherspoons on George Square close to Queens Street Station. Large number of Real Ale Taps - 3 banks of 6 but some of the beers appear on all 3 banks. Beers well cared for. Service can be slow. |
