Suttree | Great looking place, if anything it might be a little too pretty - The Bride commented that it looks like a place at Epcot or something like that. Nevertheless, it was laid back, and the service was great. The selection was three of their own contract-brewed beers, and few rather common English bottles and American Macros. The Food is the str here - Typical pub fare elevated to gourmet levels. We both had the ribeye sandwich, which we both reccomend. Can’t wait to try more.

NachlamSie | The Crown & Goose is a well done restaurant. The whole presentation is fancy and they did well to draw in a sophisticated crowd. It may be a little upper class for a bum like me, but the bier garden is a little more my speed. The inside was packed full, but the spacious garden was quiet and isolated enough. Our server was the unibomber and he was awesome. I glanced over the menu and the prices seemed high for the type of fare offered, but I can’t comment on the quality of it until I try it. $2.00 English pints during happy hour is quite the bargain and will probably bring me back in.

| pzaring | Visited the C&G right after it had opened. Has a very nice atmosphere with an open patio, a rarity in downtown area. Beer selection was ok and they are having three beers made for them (I think from the brewery downtown) I tried the IPA and it was a 3-4 at best. Happy hour is good as previously mentioned $2 pints.

tronraner | Visited during happy hour on 3-13-08, having been open for one week. It was a nice day so we sat in their beer garden, which is actually quite nice (and impressive that they could find space for it in the Old City). We were there early enough to find a place to sit without any problem, but before long it became packed and a little bit chaotic. But the picnic tables are spaced far enough apart that it doesn’t feel claustrophobic at all. They have three of their own beers, and a handful of others. Their three aren’t too bad. And during happy hour, it’s only $2 a pint, which is a steal. Didn’t try the food on this visit due to price and lack of hunger, but I will in the future.

SpringsLicker | I went on 3/13/08, they must have just opened. Well staffed, yet they were slammed and the staff hadn’t quite gotten into their rhythm. The owner stopped by the table and asked our opinions. The beers were a bit cold for an authentic British Pub, and Jeff the owner is British. They currently have three custom brewed ales on tap, An English Bitter, IPA and a dry stout. Good selection of bottles in addition Not bad. Good food, but perhaps a bit pricey. I will go back however.
