Decent lunch or brunch spot, but certainly not a beer destination by any means. The Diner serves classic American comfort food such as egg scrambles, patty melts and milk shakes. The food’s decent and pretty well portioned. The beer selection leaves a lot to be desired. There’s only one beer on tap (Evolution IPA during my last visit) and a few cans (macros like Tecate plus some DC Brau). In short, come here if you’re feeling a bit peckish. If you’re in the area looking for a beer, check out Black Squirrel or Smoke and Barrel instead.

Seriously? Not a beer bar but a great diner. Walk 5 feet to the left or across the street if you want a beer.

Jam packed with a queue at 9 AM on a Saturday, and once I tasted the food I knew why. Classic American comfort food, served in an old rowhouse set amongst the college bars of Adams Morgan. Four taps included two local DC beers. Macros only in cans and bottles. Not your first choice for craft beer, but a great alternative to Jumbo Slice or Bens for good food at any point doing a long night exploring the nearby bars, since its open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
