Klassisk brittisk pub. Rštt liten men det gŲr ju inget. Kul med George Orwell kopplingen.

Itís always a pleasure to visit Dog & Duck as well in the daytime as in the evenings. This time we came late in the evening and had to drink our cask ales on the pavement outside. To really enjoy the atmosphere it is best to come here before lunch time, buy a pint and take a seat to the rear on the ground floor. The main room is small and filled with historic, Victorian interiors, mosaic paintings and mirrors on the walls, grand II-listed as it is. The pub now belongs to the Nicholsonís chain and servers a range of six cask ales. Usually friendly staff. Decent food upstairs. Surely my favourite pub in Soho (together with Fullerís The Ship) (visited with CNN friends 11.07.2015).

Visits on a Saturday night. Extremely busy and loud. Impossible to find a seat. Decent selection of casks at reasonable prices. Not a go to pub for beer itself but a nice offering in the area.

This pub is grade2 listed and has mosaic tiles, ornate mirrors and etched glass, plenty of it by the small bar area. Very small and cramped and recently became part of the Nicholsons pub chain, so always a decent selection of ales on. Visit more for the decor... Weekday afternoons best time to go as far less crowded so more relaxing and you can see more!

Tiny cosy pub with charm. 5 real ales and friendly service and atmosphere. Interesting mosaic tiles to watch while drinking Tribute from cask.

A cosy (or perhaps ícrampedí) pub with a range of ales typical of a Nicholsonís. The bar itself, the one from which you order, seems not to have been judiciously planned, as itís quite a tight fit (at least it was on my Saturday evening visit) between the bar and the wall. Iím sure under less busy circumstances this pub would have a bit more charm, but on my stop it was just too crowded around the bar. I found a new Brains beer on tap (a bitter, if youíre interested) but there really wasnít anything terribly exciting. The beers are not cheap here (mine was £1.90 for a half of the aforementioned bitter, a relatively low ABV offering at 4.2%) but I guess thatís the price you pay for drinking in Soho. This place isnít a destination pub, but as with all Nicholsonís pubs Iíd say it is worth checking out if youíre nearby. Also, there are not many better options than a Nicholsonís pub in this part of town.

Nice, traditional pub in the middle of Soho, run by Nicholsonís. Quite small, but the dark wood and the beautifully tiled walls make it a pleasant place for an afternoon pint. Nice and friendly service. Good selection of cask ales, London Pride is usually on, and thereís a steady stream of interesting and well kept guest ales. Good pub food. Worth a visit.
