BeerBlitz (4), Roslyn, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | February 19, 2010 I’ve been here about twelve times over the past few years and I’m generally happy with it. With regard to the restaurant, my opinion is that you’re not going to be overly impressed with the beer selection, but you will always have a few good ones to choose from. My last time there (2 weeks ago) I enjoyed the Flying Fish Grand Cru Winter Reserve. Occasionally they’ll have a decent Belgian on tap, but usually the tap list will be made up of domestic craft beers, especially locals, such as Philadelphia Brewing, Victory, Manayunk. The service at the bar is pleasant, but not always the quickest. Where the place really shines is in the food, which is excellent. Appetizers, especially the jerk chicken, are good-sized and delicious. I’ve had full dinners, sandwiches, and burgers here and have never been disappointed. I’ve been in the bottle shop a few times, but only purchased a few things. Nothing here I can’t get at Capone’s for about the same price. | | michael-pollack (100), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania | | January 18, 2009 ONLY been in the Beer store. Have not eaten. Small beer store with several coolers. Decent, eclectic selection of local brews, craft beers, and international stuff. Average PA single bottle prices. Best thing about it is the proximity to Sly Fox. | | Funknmilla (12), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania | | June 19, 2008 Great beer selection inside...friendly staff...counter service is a little creepy though because the doors are so close to the register that I felt rushed...they were looking up the prices of what I had on the counter even before I was done browsing.....selection is small, but good...they switch up the stock on a regular basis | | boto (43), Granby, Connecticut | | November 28, 2006 I’m surprised no one has rated this place on their food. This is a wonderful place to eat if you like upscale dining. I have eaten there on many occasions. The jerk chicken wings are among the best out there. The crab cakes are superb. Other favorites are the Lobster Ravioli, Duck and Lamb Chops. They even have a children’s menu, which keeps my little one happy. And of course, the beer selection is great. 200+ bottles, and at least another half dozen on tap. I remember having Flying Fish Grand Cru one visit. The entree prices reflect that they are a bit upscale, but are reasonable for what you get. | | lifeofravis (13), New Orleans, Louisiana | | August 18, 2005 Good selection of singles. They have some beers that are pretty hard to find in PA, but it is rather expensive. Never been to the actual restaurant. | | DocLock (121), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania | | June 14, 2005 Above average selection of beers here, but they are expensive. I’ve also run into bitchy checkout chicks, who acted as if they;d rather be filing their nails. Service is hit or miss, and I will re-rate after I have the food here. |
