13 of their own draugh beers, including five cask ales and one cider. Sample tray with five one-third pints. Two separate rooms with the serving bar to the rear, one of the rooms with high tables and chairs. Quite welcome and cozy interior with some nice dark and old wood works. Fair prices, and knowledgeable, serviceminded staff. Human League music in the background. Located close to the central part of Canterbury. In friendly company with Harrisoni. (Visited with Finn, 11.02.2023).

A couple of minutes walk down star street from the High Street, this is a well-oiled machine with lots of staff and an insistence on having a table for whatever purpose of your visit. it has a pub-like warehouse appearance and serves its own brews in cask and keg with a 5 beer taster tray also available.

Visited for lunch on Tuesday 14/09/21. Note this venue has moved site in the last year or so and now occupies the site of the now closed Old Brewery Tavern. Set in an old 19th century style factory/warehouse the Foundry brewpub has plenty of atmosphere and is set across 2 rooms with plenty of space. Around 15 of their own beers on tap, a mix of cask and keg, and sample flights of 5 thirds available for £9.90 (extra cost levied if drinking beers at 6% ABV+). The beers were all fine ... nothing blew me away ... think 3.2-3.5 scores ... competent cask offerings and wanna be craft that didn't quite hit the mark compared with what I'm used to. Good friendly service and the place was pretty busy ... main room all but full ... side room still lots of space. We had some BBQ style food for our lunch which hit the spot. They also distill various spirits of their own which I think included a number of gins, tequila and vodka. Overall a solid stop and worth taking in a tasting flight with some food.

Visited with the misses 3/1/19. The bar and seating are located in what looks and feels as sort of a big entry hall of an old industrial building. The place was very cold, there was just one small electrical stove to which we sat as close as possible, so we were ok, but we felt bad for anyone else that had to endure the cold. Everything is dark and black, which makes for a very high contrast with the bright daylight that was pouring in. The result wasn't very cosy, maybe that's different when there's no daylight. The beer selection was rather disappointing as almost half of the beers on the menu was not available. I mean, c'mon, we come to the actual source of the beer! Both the gin list and wine list had many more options available! Staff did inform us about the missing beers right away, so kuddos to that. Food was good, with a very good price value. Quite a bit of vegetarian options, which was highly appreciated. We had a bit of a problem with one plate, which was handled very professionally and quickly by both staff and kitchen, so no need to elaborate on that. The beers I found rather mediocre, which makes a revisit for me rather unnecessary. Oh yeah, I bought one bottle to go, from the fridge. But the advertised bottle prices apparently didn't apply for the high ABV stout, which meant that I was suddenly charged more than double than the price mentioned above the fridge... Not sure what the UK regulations are on this, so I didn't make a fuss about it, but in Belgium I wouldn't have let this pass.

14th Aug 2018, mid-afternoon visit. Fairly quiet both in the yard and inside. Nice vibe to the place, a bit foodie maybe, but a good selection of their beers available in cask and keg form. My good lady and I shared a five beer 'flight' and each beer was in good order and pleasant. Staff were fine and the decor brickie and basic. Liked it, would have stayed for more, but we were on a mission!

imdownthepub  (2098) Banbury, England | June 3, 2018
A brewpub with quite a large footprint within an old 19th century factory just off the main drag in Canterbury. Very popular for food I noticed with just about all the tables taken up inside with diners, however there is a pleasant patio area where drinker appear to congregate in the sunshine. The staff are friendly and pleasant and the 5 glass taster is worth doing, you mark your requirements off on a sheet and they bring it to your table, it's quite a spectacular version of a paddle, more a bridge of beers. The beers are a bit samey though, apart from a special that they had on. Well worth a visit, but not the best in Canterbury.

Smallish Brewpub off the high street but had a young lady with a sign pointing the way! The beer selection looks good but a lot were samey and a bit bland. Nice impy Porter though. The brewery is visible to the right of the bar. Service was good and friendly. Food decent and some beers available in bottles.

Might well be the smallest brewery in Kent but they have good beer. They do sell some other things but stick to their casks and taps. Food is good, beer is better. Old Foundry building in a small street. Quite good value. Definitely a place to return to.

Very nice place, loved the hops hanging everywhere and the beers ranked by IBUS on the wall. Was astonished that it was basically empty on the weekend I was visiting Canterbury and I was there on Saturday evening. Beer selection is not very impressive but still it is not hard to find something to suit difrferent tastes.
