I think this place overrated. It is impersonal and the beer is not nearly as exciting as many other places in NY

had a night here during my to short trip to NYC. Beer menu was right where I like it, some interesting stuff but not so huge I can chose. The pretty bartender gave me good advice. Lighting was a little to low but was a clean and funky bar and i liked the style. Did not try any food if it was available, went late night. Was pricey but within new york normalcy. I would probably return

After the disaster at another place, we decided to ealk to bxl... Until coldbrewky spotted this out of the corner of his eye. One look at beerbuddy and it was decided. Nice sit down atmosphere, nyc prices, one of the best selections I’ve seen for quite some time. Decent service and ok food. Clutch!

After the Yankee game we sought refuge from the masses for a beer or three somewhere. We escaped the stadium and found ourselves at grand central station. After a brief stop at another pub. We set out and saw a banner for this establishment. UD and I realized in one quick moment that this was the place for us. Tall ceilings and a dark wooded alcoves surround the long and impressive bar. For being in the thick of things in NYC, this place has a wide open feel. Extensive tap collection with more than a few beers I had never heard of even remotely. Two Mikkelers on draft! Bottle list equally impressive. Yes beers are on the pricey side, but you should know and expect that setting foot in NYC. The selection is worth it. Made it back to Grand Central on foot for our departing train in about 10 minutes. None too shabby. This place saved our day.

Visited several times, both solo and with muggins, sam and gurney. Fantastic beer selection, never had food but apparently it’s quite tasty, can be a little noisy/busy/dark (not great light to rate your beers) but I guess it is in Manhattan.

Pretty good, a bit up market for my preferences, couldn’t argue with the selection - and anywhere that prints a daily beer menu I can’t really argue with.

Nice enough atmosphere, fast service, knowledgeable and willing to help. Didn’t try the food. Expensive prices though.

Great line up with a knowledgeable staff. Food was decent but that’s not really why you go. Great space, but Gets pretty crowded at peak times so plan accordingly.

Kind of has a British pub feel...lots of dark wood. An extensive row of taps with some unique offerings that I didn’t see anywhere else in New York. Wait staff seemed uninterested and were slow. Menu looked uninviting with minimal selection...but that wasn’t the selection I cared about. Growlers-to-Go. Should have picked one up. If you are all about the beer, and I know we all are, can’t miss this place!

A world class beer bar. Flights are good to have when so many good beers are available.
