| maneliquor (38), Perth, Australia | | August 5, 2011 Not bad. Nice place with a nice atmosphere. Solid selection but nothing completely wows me. Service was slow but not too bad. Alright but doesn’t compare to some of the places in Wellington | | TheGrandMaster (102), Auckland, New Zealand | | May 7, 2011 [ Updated May 12, 2011 ] Amidst the swelling of craft beer in bars around in Wellington, The Hop Garden offers something different...a great bar/restaurant that just has good beer as a matter of course. There is a maturity to that, which I like. Yes, some of the taps are more exciting than others, but there is plenty here to please the palate. And the food...just order the squid and you’ll know what I’m talking about. A haven from the madness of Courtenay Place. The type of place you wish was just a 5 minutes walk down the hill from home. And if thirtsystirrer doesn’t like it, then it is definitely a place I will... | thirstystirrer (4), , New Zealand does not count - explanation | | April 20, 2011 [ Updated August 21, 2011 ] nice enough.food is good- tap selection is ok, but Stoke beer?
service was nice enough,
| shigaleale (1), Wellington, New Zealand does not count - explanation | | March 10, 2011 Grape vines are hanging from the top. The sunlight is coming through the glass ceiling. Quite large space. As you walk in you’ll see the bar on the left hand side and high tables in the front. There’s dining space at the end and you can see the kitchen. The craft beers on tap are carefully selected and they have some imported bottle beers from America. The food is very tasty, European style.Reasonable price. The staff are experienced and they offer the great service. Good place to go for relaxing dinner and some craft beer. |
