Busy and full of tourists. Not a bad place but nothing special. The beers are no where near as good as the brewery thinks they are but certainly preferable to Guinness or Murphys. I think they would benifit from cask conditioning.

Nice atmosphere, busy yet friendly crowd. Tried the Wrassler’s XXXX and my friends sampled a few between them. Everybody was happy! Nearly 20 taps and a wide range of bottled beers. Music is good on the couple of occasions I’ve hung around but staff can be a little slow. Worth a visit.

A multi level maze like place with typical woody Irish pub decor, cheerfull atmosphere though the live music is a bit to loud and annoying. The food is good and the beer list is wide and interesting with a big selection of their own brews, service is a little slow. Nice place to spend the evening.

Typical pub interior, with an exhibition of beer bottles, wooden furniture etc. Serves own beers, some international and ’guest beers’ from craft breweries. Lots of international bottled beers. Quite crowded, so it may be hard to find a free place.

The first to do the craft thing in Dublin and still one of only three brewpubs in the capital that I can think of. Their self brewed line up of beers was a revolution in the mid to early 2000s, less so now with many fairly pedestrian brews catering to the large Temple Bar tourist crowd, occasionally punctuated by something really special (big ABV barley wines, black IPAs and the like) showing they can do it with ease when they fancy it. Can be really packed with tourists and outside the couple of events they run the import and rotation selection isnt as good as other spots in town. Hard to knock The Porterhouse though, long may they last.
