budznsudz (3), Audubon, New Jersey does not count - explanation | | March 19, 2012 This place is the best in south Jersey for beer selection and atmosphere. There are always interesting beers on tap and they have a pretty decent bottle selection. The food menu is a bit limited, but what they serve is well above average quality. If I can't make it into Philly, this is my number one spot. | robiannelli (9), West Deptford, New Jersey does not count - explanation | | February 24, 2012 Went to pourhouse for a late lunch. The place has an industrial feel, brick walls, exposed pipes, but it works. THE MUSIC IS GREAT and the service was very timely. The food is good but the selection is limited, mainly burgers. I wish i went on a wendsday for 1$ oysters... Prices were reasonable and beer specials were ok, big tap selection.. Overall it felt like eating and drinking in a Liquor Store | | GuilTTy (11), Cherry Hill, New Jersey | | July 9, 2011 This is my go-to craft beer bar in the Philly area outside of Philly itself. Great selection of bottles and taps - all of which rotate constantly. The tap system is always kept clean so you don’t get the off flavors that are all too common at similar places. The bartending staff is nothing short of rockstar quality. They know their beers and after just a couple of visits they’ll know your favorite styles too. I’m always greeted with news of the latest additions as soon as I sit down. The menu is narrow but classic and very tasty. Maybe the only South Jersey craft beer bar that would succeed as is in Center City Philly. | | Dfonorow (37), Hoboken, New Jersey | | March 30, 2011 They have 20 taps that rotate rather frequently and a pretty extensive bottle list of around 150-200 beers. The service is pretty good and the food was much better than expected. This place is owned by PJ Whelihans so if you know the food there then this place is mostly the same. Slightly overpriced but it is a restaurant so thats to be expected. Worth a visit if you are in the area and want to try and find some rarer beers or good locals. |
