Tiny tiny good-beer bar in an alleyway off McDougal. Ambience is very cool, super dark, you need a candle or a phone to read the beer list. Good selection of almost entirely euro bottles, a few taps. Not going to find anything that rare or cutting edge here though. Price point is pretty high though. Owner is a nice guy. Worth going to for a drink or two if you’re around.

I’ve been here three times and have liked it less and less each visit. Very dark-lit, narrow bar which barely provides enough walking room between the bar and the wall behind your back. They have a decent international beer list, but pretty bad american list. Sometimes you have to ring a doorbell to get in, which is a neat idea on paper. Somewhat pricey.

A very nice underground (literally) spot. Mainly Belgian and German bottles with a few good American draft options.. overall good quality stuff and the selection varies over time.
