Not surprised about the previous review and itís worth noting that the pub closed down on the 20th June and any new owner/tenant needs to give the whole building a serious makeover to succeed

We visited here Saturday 11th June 2011 on The Welland Valley Beer Festival tour. This place had the look of an estate pub and was quite a difference when compared to some of the earlier pub on this sojourn, however it had a wonderful garden and was well situated on the tour. Of all the pubs that we went to the set up here seemed quite bizarre, the garden could have been far better utilised by having a marquee out there with the beers but they chose to put them in the bar thus causing quite a constricted space, they also didnít take money off of you asking someone at the end to take money, an incredibly trusting approach and I would imagine that they would re-look at how they set up in future (just my view) The beers tried were fine, mine was from Newby Wyke and Lozís from Milton.
