A standard spoonery in a ground floor corner of the impressive Printworks, which is now home to lots of restaurants and cinemas and a party place by all accounts. We went in for breakfast (a snip at £2.99 for the full English!) and, unusually for Wetherspoons at that time of day, there was quite an eclectic crowd there so it didn’t feel like a community centre as so many of them do. There were six cask ales on offer, including some from the recent festival. (Visited 14 May 2015).

ManVsBeer  (1687) Hebden Bridge, England | November 10, 2012| Updated October 22, 2015
Modern look and dimly but well lit bar catering for a crowd looking to party. This is a Wetherspoon’s Lloyd’s Bar so there is less emphasis on ale despite six pumps on the downstairs bar (none upstairs), however there never seems to be a rush to replace these ales when one runs out. There is a clear tendency for this pub to try and get as much a slice of the Printworks crowd where it is situated as it can, and it is the most popular place for a late night drink in the complex. It can also take a long time to get served during the busier nights towards the end of the week and the weekend, so much so that I have walked out on more than one occasion and gone elsewhere. Seems to be the cheapest of the five Wetherspoon pubs in the city centre.
