64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 13/20 wimpyjoe (566) Manchester, England | November 10, 2012 Modern look and dimly but well lit bar catering for a crowd looking to party. This is a Wetherspoon’s Lloyd’s Bar so there is less emphasis on ale despite six pumps on the downstairs bar (none upstairs), however there never seems to be a rush to replace these ales when one runs out. There is a clear tendency for this pub to try and get as much a slice of the Printworks crowd where it is situated as it can, and it is the most popular place for a late night drink in the complex. It can also take a long time to get served during the busier nights towards the end of the week and the weekend, so much so that I have walked out on more than one occasion and gone elsewhere. Seems to be the cheapest of the five Wetherspoon pus in the city centre. |
