Rerate: visited the Station this week and was delighted to see they’ve upgraded the "craft" tap beer line-up from two to five, making this far and away the best beer range in the district. By way of a sample, this week’s tap range was: Young Henry’s, Stone & Wood Pacific, Holgate Chocolate Porter, a Four Pines single-batch speciality ale and Moo Brew Pale Ale. The pizzas were better than ever. A major rating upgrade from me. Original rate: The pick of a pretty poor bunch of pubs in the biggest town in the popular Blue Mountains tourism region. The tap line-up consists mostly of the usual macros but at time of writing this is the only bar in town where you may find one or two surprises. The wood-fired pizzas are the other attraction - very good indeed. Friendly staff but the fit-out is nothing special.

A good bar with a decent rotating range of Australian craft beers on tap. There’s a big range of woodfired pizzas. Mine was a bit missable, but my dining companions was very good. The staff were pretty friendly and did seem to know their stuff on the beers. The wine list seemed pretty extensive, as did the spirits behind the bar. The one real minus is that it’s all hard surfaces, so it’s quite noisy and difficult to carry on a conversation.
