| shawnm213 (42), South Bend, Indiana | | October 20, 2009 Dark, cold, stonelike interior. Good tap selection. I had a saison dupont and gonzo porter on tap. Servers were quick like a cougar, if you get my drift. Worth a stop if you are in the area. Made a quick stop here while we waited for our pizza from edisons. Easy to get in and out quickly. Nice sampler glassware. | | crizay (105), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio | | August 3, 2009 Not sure why I haven’t rated this place yet. Another good beer bar in Cleveland. Gastropub theme so all the food is very well made and fresh which also reflects in the price and it’s worth it. Beer is up there with the other local beer bars in which there is something good for everyone. Very nice looking on the inside with plenty of bar seating. It is in what would be more of a dive bar location. It looks like any other house on the street and turning onto a side street from W.25th will probably steer suburbians away. Nice place it’s just not in a good spot for me to go often, although the late food menu is a plus. | | jeffmw (14), | | July 29, 2009 This is a great relatively new spot in town that people are still in the process of discovering. They have a very nice selection of both taps and bottles and usually have a brewery of the month from which they have 5-7 beers on tap. The food is very good. The pretzels with imperial stout cheese is a personal favorite. It’s a little crammed inside but the patio is nice. | | Pipper (27), Ohio | | July 10, 2009 Sweet bar in a decent neighborhood. Inside is beautiful with exposed brick walls and pressed tin ceiling. Beer can collection as art on one wall. Slow but friendly service for only 3 other people in the bar. 21 beers on tap (I was surprised to see Saison Dupont) with a bottle list as well. Good happy hour with $6 burger and $1.50 off all tap beers. I had a steak with Maytag bleu cheese mashed potatoes and was in heaven - no joke best cure for a crippling hangover. | | jmikolich (11), Athens, Ohio | | August 30, 2008 Visited with a few friends, Selection for someone with 300+ Ratings from NE Ohio was average at best, lots of good stuff but stuff that is pretty common, no complaints for the ability to try some stuff on draft... Food looked very good but I didnt sample any.. Bartenders were very Pleasant and willing to give small samples, place was fairly empty except for patio, all in all a good place... wish it was closer. | | MikeF (95), Cleveland, Ohio | | May 4, 2008 A near perfect combination of great food and great beer. A list of 24 high quality taps that has clearly been well planned. Maybe not the longest bottle list, but well pruned to include only great beers. A very sleek, but comfortable atmosphere. Customers ranged from young hipsters to a middle aged fellow in a tuxedo. There is a huge inviting bar behind which are multiple large HDTVs. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The food is excellent. A nice range of selections: from the less expensive burgers and pizza (both gourmet) to the more expensive, but fairly priced house plates. Great appetizers if you are not there for an entire meal (great pretzels and cheese). The dessert selection was also impressive including a refined selection of Scotch and Bourbons. A truly solid addition to the Cleveland beer and food scene. |
