Nice old style pub with wooden panels, hidden niches and a big beer garden for summer. Large beer selection, lots of lagers and also about 5 cask ales with a couple of interesting ones. Food was standard pub grub but not bad, service hit and miss with a starring role from the young girl who said ’I am Hungarian, and tired’.

Quite a special place both the area and the pub it selves. A decent selection of cask and some regular kegs. Nice to see quite a few real ciders as well. The food smells fabulous, but we had already head our lunch so I better try that next time. Friendly staff and quite relaxing atmosphere. A place to try when you don’t go for the beer alone.

This is probably the best pub in Kensington. A decent selection of cask ales (usually 4-5 on) plus a reasonable selection of ’classy’ macro keg beers. Innis and Gunn (etc) always available on bottle. The main draw of the pub isn’t the beer, it’s the building itself. It’s a classic pre-Victorian bar that divides the pub into sections. Originally, this was intended to separate drinking groups by class, now it’s a lovely quirky feature of an authentic pub. Big beer garden that’s great in summer, plenty of attractive sloaney women. Nice.

Nice place. Not a ton of beers, but a decent tap selection and in top shape. Bartender was knowledgeable and very nice. I would definitely go back.

Visited here in late 2010. From what I can remember, the pub itself is lovely with lots of nooks and different seating options. Most people were here for a meal and food seemed to be the focus. I recall the beer selection being rather pedestrian but perhaps I should return so as to be able to give a more authoritative assessment. Overall a very traditional pub worth popping into, but probably only if you’re nearby.

Like many historic pubs, The Windsor Castle is exceedingly quaint, with hidden cozies, and a beautiful garden in back. Most English pubs are tied to breweries, and only offer the selections from that brewery, plus one or two "guest" beers on tap. Most independents, like the Windsor Castle, have the same limited number of taps...five, maybe six if you’re lucky. I counted 14 at the Windsor, all but one on interesting beers from small independent British breweries that I had never heard of, and unfortunately, can’t remember. I was overjoyed that they had Landlord bitter on tap from Timothy Taylor in Yorksire, that you don’t see very often in the south of England, so I didn’t check out the rest of the beers. I’m hoping that pubs like the Windsor Castle are a harbinger of a movement by English pubs expanding their offerings. I’m also hoping that a native Londoner or kindly tourist can keep me honest and rectify my glaring failure, by enumerating the beers on tap at the Windsor Castle.
