| swoopjones (115), Buffalo, New York | | October 12, 2009 Good food, four casks, nice atmosphere. Right on the Royal Mile, First time I had haggis to boot | | TimE (130), Tokyo, Japan | | October 5, 2009 Below comment, plus one. Haggis was really fine. | | cgarvieuk (24), Edinburgh, Scotland | | September 25, 2009 A great place to eat. Beer selection is poor in that its a static 4 taps, and not particularly interesting ones. But the Quality of the Dark Island i had was Astounding. Good on a crawl if you need food. but can be busy and tricky to get a table.
| | Jonte (31), Gothenburg, Sweden | | March 13, 2008 Nice place in The Old Town. About three or four cask ales in good condition. Good burgers and nice service. I had The Orkney Dark Island and Greenking IPA. | | bhensonb (287), Woodland, California | | February 5, 2007 A low ceilinged pub which exudes character. Dark wood everywhere, including the ceiling rafters, and the walls are either dark-wood panelled or the original stone of the building. We still talk about it. |
