| mnoud (15), Martinsburg, West Virginia | | January 4, 2012 [ Updated January 6, 2012 ] Prices are definitely a bit high. For example they have Ovila Quad for $12.25 I believe and I typically see it for $9-$10 elsewhere. They have a loyalty card type thing that gives you redeemable coupons I think. Ambiance is nice. Beers are out on a table like you’d expect in a country store, and there are coolers along the wall. Staff left me alone when looking but were helpful when engaged. Selection is pretty good; I’ve added the ones I bought and those I remember, but I would bet there are about 50-70 different types of beer or more. Good place to try some things out since you can take a single of anything as mentioned by Drake. | | Drake (295), Charlottesville, Virginia | | January 8, 2011 Located in what seemed like an out of the way part of town. Decent parking. The employees did not make any attempt to be helpful. Good selection with good US and foreign representation and they allow you to pull singles from any sixer. But OH MY GOD how they are overpriced. $2-3 per bottle or six pack, at least, across the board. I didn’t buy anything nor did I check out the rest of the store. | mq4188 (1), Winchester, Virginia does not count - explanation | | February 8, 2010 Once you find this place you will be back. Largest selection of Beers / Ales specialties in the area, by far! Most of their selections can be found cold. The barbeque is the best in the area, too.
You can build six packs or four packs, ever the cold selections. What is not to like!
No where else in the area is the selection as large and available already cold.
Bravo!!! They have gotten it right!!! | | Davetopay (14), Leesburg, Virginia | | January 31, 2010 An growing oasis of good beer, great BBQ, locally grown meat, and down home service. Recently under new ownership, the beer section is being restructured and expanded. Tons of great imports from around the world, lots of great American craft/micro labels, and kegs to order. The new owners have recently added house made BBQ and sides to the deli counter and is in the process of installing an expanded cold box section for the beer. Simply ask about a beer and they will be happy to special order if they don’t have it on hand. |
