| ratman197 (89), Arvada, Colorado | | July 30, 2008 Giant beutifully decorated liquor store. One of the prettiest I’ve seen, but thats the best I can say about this place. It’s hard to find some help. The selectiuon is large but mostly ordinary or crap beer. They are high priced for their size ( I guess they have to pay for the pretty store somehow). So I don’t see much value here. When you check out they scan your ID and your name and birthday shows up on your reciept which sucks ( another chance for idedenity theives if you don’t pay attention)! Don’t waste your time there are better stores in the area | | waolsen (51), Littleton, Colorado | | April 19, 2008 [ Updated September 3, 2008 ] Enormous place across from Wal-Mart. It rivals it in size. A wine bar/resteraunt and a specialty deli attached. Huge fire place, cathedral ceilings and a ton of unused space. Beer selection is good. They have a 2 coolers of single bottles to mix six packs. 6 pack and case selection is good. Bomber selection was a disppointment. They have a walk in cooler but only about 16 feet of bottles on 4 foot high shelf. I’ve heard some people say it would be similar to Bubbles in Castle Rock and I think its better than that but I’ll still swing my business to Davidsons. Davidsons still is tops in the area.
UPDATE: As of August cooler selection is much better. Much better than Bubbles and probably better than Davidsons but I’m still partial to Davidsons in S Denver.
UPDATE: 9/3 the selection keeps getting better each time I am in there but the prices are frustrating. At least a $1 more than Davidsons on bombers. Still a wide variety. I do feel like I am getting ripped off when I shop there. |
