| JCB (120), Durham, North Carolina | | May 4, 2012 Pretty much like any other TW except that in the desert of SC this one stood out as a welcome source for bottles. Big ass box store in the midst of a big strip-mall part of town, they were well stock with beer. The usual run of TW only brands like Laughing Dog and so on, along with a solid range of national and import craft. Also had some big bottles from Grand Teton and a smattering of locals from Westbrook and others. Decent branch, and an easy in-and-out off the highway. | | beernovice39 (146), South Carolina | | February 27, 2012 Good selection of singles. | OTownKnight (8), Orlando, Florida does not count - explanation | | August 8, 2010 Love the warehouse style atmosphere with aisles full of wine and great selection of beer. Best part about the store is definitely the mix-a-six pack where you can make your own six pack of beer from their available singles. Employees will break a six pack for you if you need it. Amazing selection! One full aisle of craft, import, and micro singles on one side, six packs on the other, and the next aisle over has american macros, cases, ciders, and larger cases of imports. Place to go for beer in Greenville metro area! | | ScottButler (12), | | July 9, 2010 Very good selection of beer, they get in some hard to find stuff at times. Their pricing is pretty normal, but then they will do some specials that are a home run. Good service and they take requests. | | thagr81_us (24), Gaffney, South Carolina | | May 4, 2010 I usually visit this location at least once a week to see if anything new has come in. They probably have the best selection of beers here in Greenville as far as quantity. I just wish they were able to stock some harder to find beers as well. | | Cybercat (93), Georgia | | May 2, 2010 This is very much like the Total Wine stores I have visited in the Atlanta area. Beer selection is very impressive - I found quite a few craft brews that I have yet to spot in Atlanta. Some of the bottles are a bit spendy, but I am sure they are worth it. I stocked up on quite a few and merrily brought them home. Their personnel are well-trained, friendly and helpful - one of them helped me retrieve my oh-so-important beer notebook when it got separated from me. I do recommend this place. | | fiver29 (48), Cleveland, Ohio | | June 27, 2009 This is like other the other Total Wine I have been to in Florida. Its a warehouse style one stop shop for beer, wine, liquor, and cigars. They have the biggest selection of beer I have seen so far in Greenville. Every beer has a Beer Advocate description on it with a rating which was nice. They have a huge section of six packs. A huge section of singles. And everything is divided up by US, international, and style. Problem is I bought a mixed 6 pack of single IPA’s. Half the 6 pack so far have been malt bombs. So this stuff while is a nice selection must be just sitting there for a while. I dinged service because I was there for quite a while. A guy who was clearly working the beer area never asked if I needed help. You see a guy wearing a beer shirt with a cart full of beer and ignore him? Uh, ok. | | changeup45 (78), Mount Dora, Florida | | June 6, 2009 Visited 11/16/08. Pretty much just like the Total Wine we have in Orlando with the South Carolina divider between the beer/wine and liquor. I realize they are pretty much like the WalMart of liquor stores but I do like being able to buy mixed six packs and while I try to buy from the "little guy" I do like Total Wine for what they are. I could only fit so much in my luggage :-) so I only picked up a few singles of Victory, New Holland, and Founders | | wcampbell (10), Clemson, South Carolina | | February 6, 2009 I agree with the really random selection. Definitely had at least a few good beers, but the good beer seemed way overpriced. Good prices for bad beers. The only beers in the store that I hadn’t tried were standard beers by some below average brewers. Nothing special for sure. | | NYHarvey (124), New York, New York | | February 22, 2008 Typical TW&M. The selection is large, but a lot of it is crap. Cheap prices and a far better selection than most liquor/wine stores, but the selection is so random it doesn’t make a lot of sense. They did have a pretty decent selection of South Carolina brews, but it’s not worth going out of your way for in my opinion. |
