JediMindTricks (4), Hampton, Virginia does not count - explanation | | August 16, 2009 Easy to get to location. Plenty to choose from for a beginner rater wanting a nice selection to choose from. Mix and match 6 packs with good prices | | OSLO (119), Ames, Iowa | | May 22, 2009 As noted before, this is in a strip mall just off of Sudley Road...so ambiance is not great. The selection is actually a lot better than what I thought it would be when I saw how small it was on the outside compared to the Chantilly location. There are only 3 aisles in the store, and a good portion of one of them is devoted to beer, so it is actually more beer-oriented in that respect than the one in Chantilly (which has a much higher percentage of the store loaded with wine). Prices are pretty good; better than Whole Foods anyways. As seems to be the case with the Total Wines, they have a lot to choose from, and you can make your own 6er, which is great, but they seem to miss out on the really special releases that make it to some of the other stores in the area. Overall, it is very solid, and definitely worth stopping at. | | illinismitty (275), Nashville, Tennessee | | October 22, 2008 I was staying down the road and needed some beer for the hotel room. Located in strip center near Barnes and Noble, the ambiance is your typical wine and liquor chain store. The selection is actually decent. They carry domestic micros, including VA breweries like Legend. Could use more selection in the Belgian and European styles. Overall, worth a stop if you are in the area. They do sell singles. I picked up some Bells, Orval, and Legend. |
