This is a beer warehouse/distributor in the New Beer mold that has seriously upped their game. The owners informed me they underwent a major renovation in the Summer 2011, and it shows! Decent sized beer room now with lots of domestic craft beers from across the country. Selection went beyond the staples of a brewery (ex: had much more for Cigar City than Maduro and Jai Alai, such as Bolita Brown). Import selection was smaller but still solid with representation of the globe. Prices on bottles ranged from fair to slightly inexpensive for NY. Growler offerings were a bit pricier. This is a poor man’s New Beer-- a VERY poor man’s New Beer-- but this may now be the go-to place for domestic craft beer in Astoria. It’s also the only place I can recall in Astoria with a lambic selection.
