80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 Brewbie (17) New York | November 18, 2012 October, 2012. Went on a Sunday fall afternoon and expected a big football crowd but it wasn’t bad and we got a booth right away. Open area inside, bar area in the back. Cool outside but still nice enough that people were outside on the patio area eating also. It’s in a nice little area too, near the ball park. The food was good, our server excellent. I asked about a beer and she brought me a sample. Really enjoyed the beer list, a lot of local and a lot of beers I normally don’t see where I live. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 Tim Webb (173) Cambridge, England | October 16, 2012 Impressively large bar-restaurant-terrace place near the Durham Bulls baseball ground that hosts the annual World Beer Festival. Short supply lines and tight stock control increases the chance of obliterating dodgy beers. Nicely laid out. Intrusive music, as ever. | 86 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 beernovice39 (196) Montana | October 1, 2012 Had an early lunch here. Good food and great service. Great tap selection. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 beeroverthere (15) | January 26, 2012 I really like this place. The atmosphere is great and the beer selection is fantastic. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 TURDFERGUSON (147) Carrboro, North Carolina | August 15, 2011 haha, the picture here is of the carrboro location. someone should fix that. anyway. this location is much larger than the carrboro tylers and has more taps. not to say they are that much better than carrboro qualitatively, but they do tend to do their special release events out here instead of carrboro, i guess because it’s a bigger space. I wish it was much better but it’s what we got. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 BigBang (19) Indiana | August 5, 2011 This is an excellent spot. Not sure why people have given it a bad review because it was really busy. It is a really neat place in the tobacco mill. Tap selection is really strong and they did a nice job of matching glassware that is labeled for each beer. Food was nice - enjoyed a build-a-burger and thenawesome garlic fries. Hope to return soon. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 derekbrown (11) Greenville, North Carolina | January 1, 2011 Great selection of beer; food not as good as Village Draft House, but solid Taproom overall. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 phaleslu (314) Cincinnati, Ohio | December 13, 2010 Met up with local legend JCB here on a Friday afternoon for lunch and some pints. The surrounding area is pretty cool, with the old American Tobacco buildings rehabbed with restaurants and shops (in St. Louis the building would have been abandoned for 40 years and then demolished, so I appreciate this). The inside is fine, with a big, well-lit main room and nice back bar, and a lot of wood. The service behind the bar was friendly but slow at times. I was thrilled to see so many local and regional labels: Fullsteam, Foothills, Skull Coast, The Duck-Rabbit, Terrapin, et al- that’s exactly the kind of stuff I came here for, but there is a lot more on the taps, too. My sandwich was okay, but the garlic fries that came with it were tasty. Prices are fair. Tyler’s made for a nice afternoon of NC drinking, and I would call this a must-visit if you’re in Durham for a day or more. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 18/20 peteoreilly (2) | December 10, 2010 Great selection, 4 beer wings are great and very kid friendly. Must stop before Bulls game, | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 nearbeer (163) Knoxville, Tennessee | November 9, 2010 Impressive, and up-to-date beer list. Nice restored warehouse atmosphere in historic downtown area. Food and service was above average and prices were very reasonable. |
