A must-stop whenever in Seattle. Laura Stoudt is the shit. The ambiance creeps me out, to be honest. Feels like a Russian mob bar. But if you want nether beer, this is the spot.

Located about a five minute drive from the heart of downtown Seattle on Aurora Ave, aka Rte 99. The environs are nothing spectacular it’s actually a rather drab part of the city and is located across the street from a tree hugging natural foods market. This place is pretty dinky. Reminds me a lot of Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà in Rome, Italy, except believe it or not, Uber is a little bigger. Seventeen taps, which are known for their rareness. There were a couple of nice double IPAs on the list, but the rest of the offerings, although impressive in their rareness, were not really aligned to my beer preferences. Uber has a far larger selection of bottles than taps and I’m quite frankly not really a bottle drinker when I go out for a beer. That said, among 17 rarer options I should find something I A) haven’t had and/or B) am interested in, but B was where the problem was for me. This is a minor complaint, however. What I’d like to see these guys do is spruce up their outdoor seating. They have a small outdoor seating area which has not been given any attention there are some cheap tables and some uncomfortable looking chairs thrown out there. They could really make that nice and give the place more of an inviting feel to lure in something other than just the extreme beer geek set. A must visit when in town, but quite frankly, if you’re staying downtown and have time to go to one place, you’ll find a much larger tap selection at Taphouse Grill. Unless you’re from the Pacific Northwest, the THG will have plenty of great beers you’ve never had or heard of, so Uber’s corner on rarity applies mostly to the locals.

Very small office in a strip of small retail/offices. 5 tables. 10 seats at the bar. Music. 3 TVs. Lots of customers buying kegs. Printed bottle list complete with beer and style definitions. Great selection of bottled beer. Friendly service.

My latest trip to Uber has inspired me to finally type up a place rating. Uber is small, but packs a big punch in both rotating taps and huge bottle selection. The price of bottles can seem a little steep at first, but there are other some choices here you can’t find elsewhere in town. The tap selection is a nice balance between hard to find euros and local surprises. A big bonus for us locals is an up-to-date website for recent and upcoming taps order in any. Food you want and they even have a selection of menus. One last comment on the staff - very friendly, welcoming and beer lovers to the extreme.

Stopped by once...a day or so after their anniversary...everything i wanted/heard about was gone...but I still had a good time. The bartender i dealt with was great.

Cozy but had a kick a$$ selection.
Been here a few times, so I have to admit the tap selection changes with the exception of the Delerium Tremens, and couple of german lagers. To call this place a must see, is a slight stretch but I wouldn’t argue swinging by with some left over pizza, or other dish from a night out, if your in the area.
The selection is great, but be warned, the cost fluctuates based on the draft or bottle your consuming. Did I mention beer to go and consumption on premises? The cost isn’t any different, so if you don’t mind a lack of fluctuation between to go or for here, stop by the bar if your in the area.
Cheers

Excellent selection of beer on tap and the bottle selection was impressive as well. No food to speak of, but killer ambiance. The fire was an excellent treat on a rainy January day in Seattle.

Small and characterful beer bar with a nice array of top-notch beers from around the world and with no particular regions of emphasis except perhaps more from the US than anywhere else. A few rarities can be found here. Service is excellent, and one can spend hours in here with a smile plastered on your face Also, it’s down the road from another worthwhile stop on the Seattle beer tour: Duck Island.

Just down the road from Duck Island is a place with a totally different feel but equally impressive offerings. Whereas the former wins on taps this one has the advantage of a fair amount of bottles at a reasonable price. The taps weren’t too shabby either - Alaskan Barleywine and Stone XI to name two. The take out prices are great as well - some beers were 25% cheaper than at Bottleworks.
I can’t imagine being here when it is crowded. The space might comfortably seat about 25 people if some don’t mind standing. Still I will definitely be back and sure to check out the current taps. This is one of the best stops I made.

Pretty small cozy place. Lots of good beer constantly rotating. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. The bartender remembered my name the second time I was there. Every time I head back home to Seattle, I try to make a stop. A great place!
