Bigtimmy (1), West Chester, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | May 13, 2012 Overall a great brewpub. Very affordable food menu with ingredients sourced from local farmers. Great beer selection, rotating selection of brewpub exclusives, and usually a couple things on cask. Growler fills are priced especially well, and they’re cool about mixing and matching (i.e. you could get a black & tan fill if you wanted). Parking is difficult on holidays and/or weekends. Highly recommended. | | UDBeernut (53), Saugerties, New York | | April 24, 2012 Drinks and dinner between Troegs and Philadelphia. Large bar, plenty of tables. Service and food were more than adequate. Drinking fresh Prima Pils was worth it alone. | | Phillies2008Champs (14), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania | | January 15, 2012 Went there with my 3 year oldto son before my niece Avery’s basketball game. Located in an industrial park. Parking is not the best on the weekend. Friendly staff seated us. Interior is nice, much better than before. Food menu was good. I went with the brisket soft tacos which were good but a little bland, it just needed a sauce. My son’s chicken fingers and fries were good and made from scratch. Plus we got a scope of ice cream. The draft menu was ok. I was looking for something unusual but nonthing I haven’t had. Good place. I will be back. | Slug42176 (2), Downingtown, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | January 11, 2012 Greatest Brewery I have been too. Love Headwaters!! | | BeerBellyZ (10), Pennsylvania | | December 14, 2011 AMAZING! Bar area very large so not overly crowded. Can’t go wrong with anything by these guys. Try a Dark Devil (hopdevil with storm king stout), it’s delicious. | | boxofrane (16), pottstown, Pennsylvania | | December 3, 2011 Great place. Great beer, great wings, and well priced. Service is solid. I wish they had a few more tv’s for sports but otherwise A+ | | MrChopin (89), Baltimore, Maryland | | November 7, 2011 Awesome place. The vibe is family, many booths, wood everywhere in the huge dining hall, yet you can roll up a huge tasting without much money, order some fantastic food (jerk is good, tuna app really good), and enjoy the best lagers in the world. Always an awesome selection with a ton of variety and 3-4 seasonals, plus casks. Service is cheery if a bit sparse, and growler fill lines get obnoxious, but enjoy cheap samplers and hang out. Atmosphere is a bummer, but otherwise very nice. | | Leafs93 (74), Conshohocken, Pennsylvania | | October 23, 2011 Great selection, good food and great selextion make this a great place to visit. Lots of their beers on tap, and hand pump. | | orangesol (28), Pennsylvania | | August 31, 2011 Stopped in here for the first time during the Dark Intrigue release. This place is huge. Tons of tables on both sides as you walk in the door. Making my way back to the bar area I am greeted by a very nice looking, large, bar area. Pretty laid back atmosphere with plenty of people coming and going. A few TV’s to watch if you are bored. Tons of people coming in for growler fills, which uses a counter pressure machine. Best way to describe it is the place just feels alive. Service was pretty good. Took a little while to order my food but I think that had more to do with the large lunch crowd rather than them forgetting about me. Food was pretty good. I had the aged cheddar burger. I ordered fries with it but I got chips. Not a big deal since I didn’t get charged for them and the chips were awesome. Food didn’t take too long to come out once I got to order it. Prices seemed pretty reasonable for what you got. Very nice lunch before I had to head back. Quality was fairly high. Everything seemed to be top notch except I did get short poured once but I won’t hold it against them too much, it was pretty crowded after all. The beer list was pretty impressive. They had 15 offerings on tap when I stopped in and another two on cask. They seemed to cover almost all the bases with their offerings. I went with both of the cask offerings, Uncle Teddy’s Bitter and a Storm King. Both were served correctly and both tasted great. | | nike (36), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | | August 21, 2011 From the outside this place looks similar to an broken down warehouse. It was the old Pepperidge Farms building. Inside, I was told they had just remodeled. Contemporary hardwood floors and dark red/brown hardwood bar, ...nice look. Excellent place!! I was in the area, and Ginny’s nephew Doug treated us to lunch and brews!!! Thanks Doug, it was fun talking about beers!! Excellent selection of beers. Five hand pumps and 16 drafts, and you cannot go wrong with these brews. Excellent food, nice selection on the menu. My only complaint, and I hope Victory will make a change, is that you can but cases and 6 packs. I wish they sold individual bottles of mix and match (I understand pricey and rotation of beers), but many people I’ve talked with would have bout 16 or so different beers if there was a mix and match. That’s the only reason I am deducting 2 points, otherwise, a great place to visit!! |
