| boxofrane (16), pottstown, Pennsylvania | | May 14, 2012 Grocery store with little assistance from the store. A small section but pretty decent selection. Limited options for cold beer. It’s amazing how different the selection is in each PA Wegmans. | | Capa (172), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | February 6, 2012 The bottle shop feels like they had a bit of leftover space and didn’t know what to do with it so they wedged some beer into the area. That said, they wedged quite a bit of beer into the small space! They have a build your own six-pack shelf that has 50 or so bottles (11.99 flat fee for the BYO sixer). Nothing out of the ordinary on that shelf though but solid stuff. Plenty of six packs and bombers in the rest of the shop (not available for BYO though) mostly US micros but plenty of imports, too. Lots of good stuff here. I was very surprised. Had stopped in here for a cup of coffee while my lady ran some other errands and I ended up acting like a kid in a candy shop. They do have an ounce limit, which is annoying (though I’m sure that is a PA law and not Wegmans fault) and it comes out to your basic 12 pack. Prices are the most resaonable I’ve seen. RR Damnation for $6.99 in the Philly area? Yes please. | | nike (36), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | | August 22, 2011 Wegmans is Eastern PA version of Western PA Giant Eagle Market District. If someone walked into either place without knowing where you were, you could not tell the difference. Similar to Eastern PA Market District, decent selection, prices tend to be a little high. | | watson1977 (55), The dub c, Pennsylvania | | August 8, 2011 The bottle selection for takeout is pretty extensive. Lots of U.S. crafts and some macro imports too. It does lack a selection of craft/micro imports, most notably the scandinavian countries and british isles. Prices here are more than fair...wegmans buying power is able to undercut any bottle shop in PA. Cold selections for eating eat are limited but acceptable and the fast food in the wegmans cafe is pricey but pretty good. Dining area is loud and cafeteria like. Its about the takeout beer here. As of yet, no growlers or draft at the dtown location. | | willblake (81), Bel Air, Maryland | | July 3, 2011 Small space but interesting selection of good bottles, clean and organized although ti’s a bit of a maze. You’re own your own in terms of service; there wasn’t anybody there. Last time I was there I found a good amount of locals, typical Belgians, and a nice variety of west coast stuff including Russian River and Lost Abbey. Prices were good. Also a small variety of cold singles which I assume you could open to enjoy with your food court lunch. Wegmans prepared food is usually quite good, too. Worth a quick stop before or after Victory. |
