orhay (9), , does not count - explanation | | April 21, 2012 Large selction. A bit daughting. Staff seemed a bit stuffy. Beer selection was good. | | Farees (23), Edmonton, Alberta | | March 27, 2012 So far my favourite store in Canada. Huge selection, beer tasting events, contests and a very knowledgeable staff. They even had a beer sale when I was there. A must for anyone who likes craft beer. | | Hoser (137), Cowtown, Alberta | | March 14, 2012 Oh man my rating is just to offset the goatboys and the other industry people that bashed this place. Dave the beer guy rocks and all the agents do their best to get stuff sloted here. The best in Calgary hands down. They hold some of the best beer education. Sammy if you are reading fucking change your rating. | Alethebest (9), , does not count - explanation | | June 5, 2011 Excellent beer selection | TensionHeader (1), , does not count - explanation | | January 29, 2011 Massive selection of wines, not as many brews, but this is easily the biggest store in south Calgary. | | willace (10), Calgary, Alberta | | October 14, 2010 Great selection. No one to help you, but very busy. | | rosenbergh (275), Helsinki, Finland | | August 5, 2010 More wine and spirits than beer. Most of the beers in cold (except European good ones). OK selection of Canadian but only some European cans and USA/CAN big ones sold single. No real rarities. Distant location but easy to find (by Macleod Trail). | | hamfisted (28), Calgary, Alberta | | June 6, 2010 [ Updated July 18, 2011 ] Too bad this is at the end of the Earth. The selection of beer is great, but I have to pack a lunch and make a day of the trip.
Okay, updating my review. Prices are less than Zyn, and if you catch their crazy beer manager, ask him if he’s received anything new and interesting. He might take you into the basement and let you pick from the boxes of awesome stuff he’s just received. | shetberd (1), does not count - explanation | | December 16, 2009 The selection here is mediocre unless you’re in the market for mediocre beer. I found the service was lacklustre and the staff mostly just stood around and stared at me instead of offering help. Better than some but definitely not worth the trip. | TheDoctor (4), Calgary, Alberta does not count - explanation | | November 18, 2009 I’m rating the selection based on what is in Alberta. For that, there is no better alternative, other than this one place in Edmonton, but they seemed not to have as extensive a selection (when I visited anyway). Great service here, very knowledgeable staff (as mentioned, don’t approach shelf-stockers for advice, really...), reasonable value. |
