| AgedOak (11), Ohio | | October 4, 2009 [ Updated November 27, 2009 ] A great place for enjoying a wide variety of beer when you are around the lake or just passing through (?). Ralph and Carol have established a fun place with very good selection of bottles. Good bar food, with a variety of items to choose from, including some of Carol’s own creations.
Beer club is also a draw and Ralph does a nice job of rotating different beers in and out. UPDATE: Windy Corners closed, at least until spring, on November 22, 2009. | | jsquire (23), St. Marys, Ohio | | September 6, 2009 If you find yourself around Grand Lake St. Marys and need a beer fix, you won’t do any better than Windy Corners. Ralph has paid a lot of attention to getting a good selection of imports and micros, including seasonals and special releases. Over 120 bottles, most of them good. Its the only place I know that has Orval around here. The food is well made, served hot, and is basically really good pub grub. Save room for the apple dumpling for dessert. Amy rated it pretty high, but it should get bonus points for being where it is. | | aobecksy (10), Middle of no where, Ohio | | July 18, 2009 Such a surprise for the middle of no where Ohio. Fantastic selection. Fun Mugs and Suds club for those who want to drink 100 beers. Lakeside access. Terrific and orginial fresh salads. Pizza and bar food too. Resteraunt and patio dining available. Pool, darts and arcade games. Fun easy going crowd with great service and CHEAP prices. The best that nonelegance has to offer. Tell Ralph that Roger and Amy sent you... |
